The New Q5: Audi's Latest Plug-In Hybrid Drive

Glide across town with ease in the new Audi Q5 55 TFSI e quattro, this premium quattro all-wheel-drive SUV combines a 252PS, 2.0-litre TFSI, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a 14.1kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery, mounted beneath the floor of the luggage compartment, is used to power a 105kW electric motor.

The battery can be recharged in 2 and a half hours from a 3-phase public charging point and can be fully replenished in 7 hours. In addition, thanks to the myAudi app you can check the charging status and driving range from the comfort of your own home.

Our new plug-in hybrid can be driven in three modes: Hybrid, Battery Hold and EV. The EV mode allows you to use solely electric power for 26 miles and is capabale of travelling on the motorway reaching a top speed of 84mph. With Audi's predicitve efficiency assistance (PEA) it harnesses the power through recoperation, enabling the recovery of kinetic energy and its conversion to electrical energy.
