Celebrating 25 Years of the Audi RS
-
In 1994, Audi launched the RS 2 Avant, the vehicle was the first of its kind to be fitted with 315PS five-cyliner engine, a self-locking central differential and the brand's trademark permanent quattro all-locking wheel system. In recent years, it has enjoyed cult status and this revolutionary vehicle has gone on to establish the high-performance estate-car segment.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first RS model, Audi are marking the occasion with a special exhibition showcasing 14 RS model ranges at the Audi Forum in Neckarsulm. Included in the line up is the Audi RS 8 that never entered production and other rarities.
Since the launch 25 years ago, the RS family now consists of 25 cars and will soon be joined by 4 more in 2019.
