M25 Audi delivers new vehicle for Road Safety partnership
On Wednesday 28th November, Group 1 Audi had the pleasure of launching the first Herts Road Safety vehicle in partnership with Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service and Hertfordshire County Council.
Following on from the success that our Essex Audi Group has had with the ECFRS Road Safety car, this partnership has been launched to extend the support across the border into Hertfordshire.
The initiative sees the provision of one of our Audi Sport models for the local Road Safety teams to use as a tool to engage, inform and educate road users in the County. It will be used primarily (though not exclusively) to target 18-35 year olds who are considered the highest risk road user group, as the performance and aspirational aspects of the Audi Sport brand allow the perfect gateway to begin a two-way dialogue with drivers, passengers and all road users about key area of road safety. And with appropriate branding to identify it as a Fire Service vehicle and graphics that highlight the 'Learn 2 Live' campaign, the new Audi SQ5 is instantly recognisable as something to pay attention to.
It will be visiting local events, schools, colleges and businesses in order to highlight important road safety messages such as:
- being a responsible driver
- understanding risk and consequence
- sharing the road
- avoiding inappropriate behaviour
- preventing anti-social and dangerous driving
As a brand and a company, we are committed to promoting safety on the roads with advanced safety assistance systems now available across our model range, and we feel that the partnership with both the Essex and Hertfordshire Road Safety teams is the perfect way to support this cause further.
We are certainly looking forward to seeing the new Herts Road Safety Car out in the county and we hope that this SQ5 will be the first of many in the partnership.
