As regular supporters of the Basingstoke Festival of Transport, this year we have decided to go bigger and better all in aid of charity.

We are super excited to be able to host Drive 4 UR Community – a fundraising event that will bring visitors to the festival together to get behind the wheel to make a real difference and support these local charities.

For every successful Electric Vehicle (EV) test drive completed at our event, Ford UK will donate £30 to Basingstoke Deane Rotary, which will go towards funding essential Respiratory Equipment for Basingstoke & North Hants Hospital.

HOW YOUR TEST DRIVE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

We’ve chosen Basingstoke Deane Rotary, as they are a fantastic organisation that supports local charities, especially those without fundraising capabilities. The funds raised will go towards purchasing essential respiratory equipment for Basingstoke & North Hants Hospital.

This updated medical equipment is critical for enhancing care for patients with pleural effusion, a condition where fluid accumulates around the lungs, leading to breathing difficulties. Pleural effusion often affects individuals with lung and respiratory diseases. Currently, patients in north Hampshire must travel to Winchester for a procedure called medical thoracoscopy, which can be both inconvenient and stressful.

The new equipment will provide advanced features, including superior image quality and improved compatibility with modern tools, resulting in safer and more efficient procedures.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to raise as much money as possible:
Completing 100 x EV Test Drives on the day at £30 per drive, equates to £3,000 for Basingstoke Deane Rotary, but we’d love to double that and get to 200 x EV Test Drives, to secure £6,000!
