What is the difference between FordPass & FordPass Connect?
FordPass is an app that allows Ford owners to interact with the vehicle through a suite of in-app features. The FordPass app can be downloaded from either the App Store or Google Play.
Whereas FordPass Connect is an embedded modem that connects your Ford vehicle to the internet, which allows for data to be transferred to and from your car. The modem automatically updates and accesses a whole host of advanced features like Live Traffic Information. It also allows you to control selected vehicle features remotely from your FordPass app.
To use FordPass Connect, you will need to download the FordPass app on your smartphone.

You can buy additional data bundles for a day, a month or even a year from Vodafone upon renewal.

Designed to reduce the time between a serious accident occuring and assistance from the emergency services from being provided, eCall** is a potentially life-saving feature that gives you peace of mind. FordPass Connect can automotically place an eCall to the emergency services in the event of an accident and provide your location. You can also press an SOS button in your car to contact the emergency services directly, should you require emergency assistance or witness an accident.

Have you ever wished you could start your car’s engine from the warmth of your home? With the FordPass app, you can do just that. Start your vehicle’s engine from anywhere when your car has an automatic transmission.
Put an end to de-icing your windscreen on cold and frosty mornings. Don’t worry, your car will be perfectly safe. This feature automatically locks the doors while the engine is on, and the car will still require your key before it can be driven away.

Receive Vehicle Health Alerts directly to your smartphone including, when to change your oil, when a lightbulb has failed and whether your engine is overheating. The alert will inform you of the exact issue and will even recommend a course of action. Alternatively, you can contact Roadside Assistance or schedule an appointment with your nearest Group 1 Ford dealership, all from within the app.

Find charging stations
Use the app to find charging stations wherever you go. This means you don’t have to worry about planning them in yourself, as you can just open the app and find local services whenever you need them. You’ll also find info on the available services to better plan your stops.

Check your range
FordPass uses Intelligent Range to calculate range estimates based on your driving style, weather forecasts and crowdsourced information. All of this comes together for an accurate prediction of your actual remaining range.

Plan charging stops
Input your destination and FordPass will calculate the best route, with any necessary charging stops already plotted on your journey. This makes even the longest journeys stress-free.

See charging status
You can keep a close eye on battery levels when your car is plugged in and charging through the app. You’ll even get a notification when the battery has reached your chosen level, and it notifies you if the charger is unplugged too.

Set departure times
Make sure you’re always ready to go with the handy departure time setting. Simply set your preferred departure times on the FordPass app and it will charge your car in time for you to head out. This gives you one less thing to worry about whilst optimising your electric range.

Pay for charging
You can use the FordPass app to pay within the FordPass Charging Network. Receipts are instantly emailed to you after charging. Ford EVs and plug-in hybrids come with a 5-year FordPass Charging Network trial with one year of preferential Ionity charging rates.
