Prince Charles Takes Delivery Of Jaguar I-PACE
  • It's been confirmed that Prince Charles has completed a royal first by taking delivery of the Royal Family's first all-electric car, the Jaguar I-PACE.

Having voiced his concerns about the environment for decades, as well as the effects that vehicles have on the world around us, it's no surprise that Prince Charles has changed his existing conventionally fuelled Jaguar for the latest electric model in the line up. It's been confirmed that the electric model will be used for all his official duties in London moving forward.

A fast charging point is set to be installed at Clarence House, the Prince's official London home - although there are many other charging points within a couple of minutes from Clarence House and Buckingham Palace!

The I-PACE's new 90kWh batteries give much greater reliability and flexibility, offering a top range of 292 miles, which means that the Prince could travel from Clarence House to his residence in Highgrove in Gloucestershire, and back, on a single charge.

Plus, should the Prince’s security team need to make a quick exit for whatever reason, Jaguar claims the I-Pace can accelerate from 0-60mph in under five seconds.
