Kia UK and Pod Point Get Smart with New Partnership

Kia Motors (UK) Ltd. has partnered with electric vehicle charging provider, Pod Point, and has announces a two-year partnership.

  • As part of the arrangement, Pod Point will install smart home charging units for all Kia customers who purchase an electric vehicle. Each unit will be priced at £300, after the deduction of the Home Charge Grant.

    The new partnership coincides with the launch of the all-new class-leading 282-mile e-Niro, which is available to order from Group 1 Kia Coulsdon and goes on sale in April is priced from £32,995 (after the £3,500 Plug-in car grant). It joins Kia’s already extensive range of alternative fuel models, including the Niro Self-Charging Hybrid, Niro Plug-in Hybrid, Optima Sportswagon Plug-in Hybrid and Soul EV. Kia is set to launch its #GoElectric initiative as part of a wider campaign to become one of the industry’s leading EV manufacturers. 

    Andrew Rogers, Sales Manager at Group 1 Kia said: “The partnership is great for customers in Coulsdon who are looking to take the leap to an electric vehicle. The charging of electric cars is one of the most frequent questions we get asked about, so to have Pod Point’s smart home charging products on board will help so many of our customers.”
