  • In a joint venture project between Mercedes-Benz Cars UK  and Group 1 Automotive, Mercedes-Benz of Norwich opened Mercedes-Benz newest Pop-Up Shop at Norwich’s intu Chapelfield Shopping Centre.

    Customers experienced a selection of the most popular Mercedes-Benz models, such as the new B-Class which comes as standard with the innovative MBUX infotainment system and ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice recognition. In the Approved Used Zone, located outside for the first time at Pop-Up Shop, customers could explore a mix of Approved Used vehicles over the six week period.

  • For motorsport fans, there is the opportunity to compete against friends and family for the fastest lap time in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Formula One™ zone simulator. Customers were encouraged to share their results and photos on social media using the hashtag #MBPopUp. In addition, race weekends were shown live in-store, covering practice, qualifying and the race itself.

  • A dedicated electric mobility, EQ zone offered customers the opportunity to explore the C-Class Coupé Hybrid and learn about the variety of electric and hybrid Mercedes-Benz models available. For the first time, customers enjoyed a selection of complimentary beverages at the Recharge Café by presenting a Mercedes-Benz key or the Mercedes me app. For all other customers, drinks could be purchased with a £1 donation to Mercedes-Benz’s charity partner Laureus.

  • A variety of gifts were available to buy, including stylish watches and a selection of fragrances for men and women, as well as the latest Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Formula One™ merchandise.

  • Interactive displays in-store include the AMG sound wall and ‘magic mirror’, offering customers positive live feedback on merchandise. In addition to an in-store Easter egg hunt, a Mercedes-AMG event took place alongside a Motability focused weekend.

  • When asked about the Pop-Up Shop, Barry Alexander, Group 1 Automotive UK Mercedes-Benz Franchise Director explained, “The Pop-Up opportunity afforded to our Norwich Centre by Mercedes-Benz UK was one the team grabbed with both hands.  The whole dealership worked closely to put together an innovative offering, along with support from Mercedes-Benz UK that would intrigue those that were new to the brand as well as ‘wow’ those that are existing customers.  The response that we have had from across the City with over 30,000 visitors to the shop and the feedback on the current range of vehicles is incredible and made for a very successful six weeks”
