Chandlers Worthing vs Chandlers Brighton football match

Saturday 27th July saw Chandlers Worthing take on Chandlers Brighton in the first annual football match between the two Centres.

Worthing came out the blocks with a cracking looping goal from nearly 30 yards out before the same player shortly lined his team mate up to score another to make it 2-0, after a bit of back forth between the two teams.

Worthing beat a Brighton defender before curling one into the net round the keeper just before the half time to make it 3-0 with the keeper ensuring Worthing's goal line stayed clear.

Brighton came out second half with the bit between their teeth to take two goals back, but Worthing managed to keep Brighton at bay till the end of the match and lifted the 1st Chandlers Champions Cup.

A big thanks go to members of the team; Ben and Tom for organising, Ashley and Becky for sorting collections, trophy and referee and Julian for managing the field and gruelling training sessions.

It was a great day and £430 was raised for BEN charity, thank you to all who contributed, played and supported.

On to the training for next year!
