Big, bold Tarraco breaks cover
  • The all-new SEAT Tarraco has been unveiled to the world, offering a glimpse of the brand’s future design language. Tarraco, our new flagship model, will open for ordering in late 2018. It’s the big brother to SEAT’s other SUV models – Ateca and Arona – and mixes state-of-the-art technology, dynamic and agile handling and practicality with elegant, progressive design.

  • Technology

The Tarraco has a long-wheelbase platform. Its Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) set-up offers sportiness or comfort on demand and can adapt automatically – modifying the ride depending on the road surface and driving style.

Tarraco will have direct-injection, turbocharged engines with power outputs between 150 and 190PS, with petrol- and diesel-powered engines on offer.

The Tarraco also features driver assistance and safety systems including:

    • Lane assist
    • Front assist
    • Blind spot detection
    • Traffic sign recognition
    • Traffic jam assist
    • Adaptive cruise control (ACC)
    • Light assist
    • Emergency assist
    • Emergency call
    • Pre-crash assist
    • Rollover detection

The Tarraco meets the most demanding safety standards to make it one of the benchmark models in the large A-SUV segment.

  • Design

The Tarraco is 4,735mm long and 1,658mm tall, creating huge interior space and an imposing exterior.

The front defines SEAT’s new design language with a more prominent grille, while the sharp full LED headlights retain the company’s triangular signature but are set further into the body.

The emphasis at the rear is the low loading area, and LED rear indicators.

Inside the Tarraco, designers have worked hard to create an interior that cocoons occupants by using a horizontal line that spans the dashboard while emphasising the width of the car. The large SUV will also get a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit and an eight-inch floating human machine interface (HMI) screen – where occupants can access the car’s connectivity options.

Prices and specification for the UK range, as well as launch timings, will be published on SEAT Hub towards the end of October.
