ŠKODA Involved in Guinness World Record
-
The ŠKODA Octavia Combi vRS 245, along with Markus Hass, set a Guinness World Record for the farthest arrow fired and caught.
Laurence Baldauff, an Olympic Archer, fired the arrow whilst Markus was leaning out of the Octavia's sun roof.
The arrow travelled 134mph (60 metres per second) with the distance between Baldauff and the Octavia being 70 metres. They also had to factor in the direction in which an arrow flies, as it flies in an arch the time was further reduced to 0.5 seconds to catch the 68cm-long arrow.
