The friendly, expert team at your local Group 1 Ford centre in Farnborough, Guildford, Wokingham, Basingstoke and Newbury are here to help. So if you have any questions about Ford Pro, charging or anything else, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
One of the easiest ways to charge your Ford commercial vehicle is with a regular domestic power socket. Simply plug your electric or hybrid Ford vehicle into any standard three-prong wall outlet in your home and you’re charging!
For quicker charging, you can install a Ford Connected Wallbox. This purpose-built charging point recharges the battery much quicker compared to a standard wall plug. We’ve partnered with British Gas / Centrica for quick and easy installation of your Ford Wallbox to make your life easier.
Or you can buy the wallbox and arrange for an electrician to install it in your home. The choice is yours!
You can also get Ford Connected Wallboxes installed at your place of work. This is the perfect way to guarantee that they’ll always be charged and ready to go.
We can support you with the full process, from securing the hardware and installing your wallboxes to maintenance and software management.
Having fast charging points at your workplace helps to minimise downtime as your fleet will always be work ready.
You get access to the BlueOval Charge network which is made up of over 300,000 charge points (with over 16,000 in the UK.)
This includes high-speed IONITY charging stations so you’ll always have options when you’re out on a job.
Ford Charge Assist plots in charging points along your route with real-time info including availability, prices and charge-speed info.

There are three main considerations when it comes to maximising your electric Ford commercial vehicle’s range. This includes:
Efficiency suffers in all types of vehicles when you accelerate heavy as the engine uses more power. So when you put your foot down, the electric motor has to work harder and, in turn, uses up more battery.
Driving at fast speeds also reduces range as you’re more impacted by the road conditions and wind drag.
Extremely hot or cold temperatures also may affect battery range. The chemistry of the cell means that you get less driving range in colder climates.
Also, using the heating or air-con will reduce your range as this is also powered by the battery. Instead, consider pre-setting the climate control whilst your vehicle is still charging.
If you’re carrying heavy cargo, multiple passengers or both, your Ford commercial vehicle will consume more energy.
