Ford announce partnership with RNLI

For the next three years, Ford will play an integral part in assisting the lifesaving work of the RNLI.

  • Since it began back in 1824, the RNLI have saved over 141,000 lives across the UK and Ireland. Volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour rescue service – but the work of the RNLI does not stop there. There are also Community Safety teams nationwide who are out and about providing advice and educating people on the perils of our coastlines.

Ford were delighted to recently announce that the Ford Ranger will be the official RNLI Lifeguard Patrol vehicles for 2019 and beyond. The Ranger underwent rigorous tests during 2018 in order to establish itself as the chosen vehicle for the RNLI, with it being suitable for use both on the beach and inland.

Andy Barratt, Chairman and Managing Director of Ford Britain said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that the RNLI have chosen the Ranger. It’s a vehicle that we’re immensely proud of. And the fact the RNLI believe it’s well suited to their needs is a testament to its all-round capability”

There will also be approximately 250 vehicles from across the Ford range which will be used as support vehicles for other work carried out by the organisation such as fundraising and prevention work.
