• Innovative 4MOTION

  Stability and Traction.

  The innovative Selectable and Permanent 4MOTION All-Wheel Drive System enables sure-footed progress when encountered with snow, rain, mud and gravel. It is designed to maintain traction on all road surfaces as well as improving road holding and increasing the safety in poor surface conditions.

• Fully Compatible

  Selectable or Permanent 4MOTION.

  For increased safety, 4MOTION is compatible with the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) and Off-Road ABS. This is perfect for getting you to places other vehicles can't reach. 4MOTION will transport you on an adventure that never ends just because the road does.

  Selectable 4MOTION

  Selectable 4MOTION allows you switch between high and low gear changes and rear and all-wheel drive mode. The power is distributed evenly between both the front and back axles to ensure the best possible traction.

• Permanent 4MOTION

  All-wheel drive is engaged whether you are on or off-road and comes standard on the 180PS BiTDI 8-speed automatic Highline.  In normal circumstances, the Torsen differential distributes power 40:60 between both the front and the rear wheels, but when off-road, the syste automatically distributes power to the wheels with the most grip. 
  When combined with other systems such as Hill Start and Hill Descent Control, you'll find cans such as the Amarok almost unstoppable.

  Selectable or Permanent 4MOTION all-wheel drive systems are available as standard on all Amaroks.
