Crafter does the grunt work for Hyperoptic Groundwork
A fleet of Volkswagen Crafters is doing the heavy lifting for Hyperoptic as it plans to lay out a new super-fast broadband infrastructure.
This West-London based firm is building its own network of fibre optic cables and aims to provide the fastest broadband across the country and to help with this, Hyperoptic is using the Volkswagens Heavy Van, Crafter, to do all the grunt work.
So far, 11 Crafter have travelled nationwide as the firm delivers fibre optic cables to customer’s front doors.
There is more to come. There are also 18 more crafters ordered for later in the year. Plus, it’s going all-out Volkswagen with a few Caddy and Transporter models joining the feet too!
Hyperoptic had previously run Transporters, so the company already had experience of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Brand.
Catherine Bay, the Hyperoptic Fleet Manager said:
“With the growth of our business, the reliability of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand made the choice easy. Our new livery looks incredible on all the vehicles we have, especially the new Crafters. The service and aftercare support we get from our two main suppliers, Cordwallis and Imperial Commercials, is outstanding and we are looking forward to seeing how Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brings new advances to its range of vehicles.”
David Hanna, the head of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles added:
“Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is pleased to be working with a new player that’s growing year-on-year with a fleet of vans that suits. Our Working With You promise is our guarantee to every operator, however big or small, that we will tailor a package for them and their evolving needs, so they can concentrate on the business of developing their business, without worrying about their transport requirements.”
The Volkswagen Crafter also won the Business Van of the year award for the Best Heavy Van in 2018.
