Think Ford supports the Lions Club International in their Food Appeal this Christmas

Think Ford supported the Lions Club International again this year in collecting non-perishable foods this Christmas for those less fortunate than ourselves. We accepted donations at any of our Think Ford locations in time for the food to be distributed prior to Christmas.

  • The Lion's Club distribute our collections to local food banks and as you can see they are very grateful for this invaluable donation. Their method of assessing food donations is to weigh them and as you can see below the donation to the Farnborough Foodbank was an amazing  83.34 Kgs.

However, that is only half the story. They took half the food donated to The Church of the Good Shepherd Food Larder in Sand Hill which they've been supporting for a number of years. They think the delivery made to the Good Shepherd amounted to just over a half of the total that Think Ford staff and customers donated to their appeal. On that basis the total donation of the Think Ford Christmas Appeal amounted to approximately 170 Kgs of provisions.

This is a magnificent total which the people of Farnborough served by the 2 foodbanks really appreciate. We want to thank all that donated to our appeal and that we hope that you all have a good Christmas & New Year.

  • About Lions Club International

Lions are ordinary people who do extraordinary things to help others and support good causes throughout the British Isles. Globally they have more volunteers in more places than any other service club organisation, and love to help others and make things happen.

The Lions Clubs support a range of good causes and projects in each area, where you too can get involved. Every day Lions are having fun by organising remarkable and memorable fundraising activities, and in Europe alone, Lions Clubs’ members volunteer around 6 million hours of service and raise £88 million to support the needs of local communities.

With Lions Club being local, they serve the unique needs of the communities in which we all live.

If you'd like to get involved in your community you can contact the Lions as per below:
