The first Citroën MOT is the same as all the rest, but we’ll run through some vital info that may make your life easier.

To pass your first Citroën MOT test, our technicians carry out a series of tests and checks to ensure all your car’s vital components meet legal standards.

Whilst you can keep your MOT date the same by booking it a day or two before it’s due, we recommend booking your Citroën MOT as early as possible. This can be up to 30 days in advance. Doing so will ensure you’ll have enough time to sort out any potential issues that arise.

Although on your first MOT it’s unlike you’ll have any major problems anyway.

Please keep in mind that it’s your responsibility to ensure your Citroën has a valid MOT test carried out by a professional. Driving without a valid MOT invalidates your insurance and is illegal. You could even face a fine of up to £1,000.

Before you book your Citroën MOT, please consider the following points:

• Please schedule in time for potential repairs in case your Citroën fails its MOT test

• We recommend that you plan your day without your car in case any extra work is required
