How Citroën Motability works
The Motability Scheme has been in operation since 1978, helping countless customers to retain their freedom over the years. Eligible claimants simply exchange their mobility allowance for a brand new Citroën car on a three-year lease. It’s a simple yet powerful scheme, helping to keep you mobile.
All you have to do is explore the available Citroën cars on Motability and get in touch. From there we can arrange a test drive at your local Citroën Motability dealers. Once you’re completely happy with your chosen model, trim and engine, we’ll complete the order for you. Worry-free motoring is that easy.
Our team of Citroën Motability specialists are friendly and considerate. They’ll guide you however they can by offering support, answering questions and handling paperwork.

Who is eligible for Citroën Motability
You may be eligible for the Motability scheme if you’re in receipt of any of the below government-funded mobility allowances:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component (HRMC)
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
- War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
- Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC of PIP)
Claimants of the scheme don’t necessarily have to be the driver. Eligible Motability users under 16 can have parents, guardians or carers qualify on their behalf. For more information on this please visit the Motability Scheme website.

There are hundreds of adaptations that can help to make your car better suited to you. Adaptations range from simple driving controls to more complex additions like person hoists - whatever you need to make daily driving convenient, safe and enjoyable.
You can choose adaptations before you order your Citroën car, which is typically the most affordable way. So when you receive your Motability car everything is already fitted. There are even a fair few adaptations that are completely free!
