KIA Academy Starts a Revolution
  • Kia’s training agency Motiv8, in partnership with the Kia Academy, have been awarded ‘Automotive Event of the Year’ by C&IT for its 2017 Masterclass ‘The Revolution’ that launched the all-new Kia Stonic in October 2017 to its dealer network.

    The ‘brilliant’, ‘surprising and motivational’ event saw over 700 customer facing sales and service staff from Kia’s 192 strong dealer network being fully immersed into the all-new Kia Stonic ahead of its UK launch. Each Masterclass plays a pivotal role in the shaping and launch of Kia’s newest models through innovative training for sale and after-sales staff in each dealership.

    Comments from the judges called the event ‘a brilliant, exciting, challenging, surprising and motivating event’ and one that ‘totally fulfilled all its focused objectives’. They were very impressed with ‘sales results as well as the events creative and engaging concept which was different from a traditional automotive launch and created something truly memorable’

    Karen Fagan, Academy Executive at Kia who is responsible for the organisation and planning for the Kia Academy said of the 2017 Masterclass ‘We always strive to give our dealer network an engaging and informative experience at our Masterclass events. For ‘The Revolution’ we needed to ensure that the training event for the cars was hard hitting and impactful and that our network understood what impact the car had not just on our sales but on our brand image.’

    The creative approach for the Kia Masterclass 2017 Revolution centred around family like care and creating an environment where delegates were able to absorb product knowledge and leave competent and confident in their knowledge of the car and the brand to assist them when selling the car.
