What is a Mercedes-Benz electric car?
Mercedes-Benz fully electric cars (EQ) use an electric motor, whereas a conventional car uses an internal combustion engine that requires fuel. Electric cars are often referred to by the term BEV, which stands for Battery Electric Vehicle, or EV, which stands for Electric Vehicle. Unlike diesel and petrol cars, electric vehicles are emission-free and as a result, there are grants and incentives available.
How does it work?
Electric cars require a source of power to run and must be plugged into a charging point, be it a home, work or at a public charging station. As they rely on an electric motor to generate power, electric cars produce virtually no noise at all for a more relaxing drive. However, less sound does not mean reduced performance! Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles deliver maximum torque from the get-go. Simply enjoy the dynamic drive and instant acceleration.
