The scheme is not exclusive to the driver. A parent, guardian or carer can qualify on behalf of a claimant if they are under 16-years-of-age. Learn more about eligibility by visiting the Motability Scheme website.
The Motability Scheme gives you access to hundreds of adaptations, ranging from basic driving controls to person hoists for wheelchair users. Your motoring experience should be as stress-free as possible and the adaptations available do just that. If you need help to drive, get in or out of the car, or stow your wheelchair, there is an adaptation available to suit your individual needs.
Arranging for adaptations to be made to your vehicle is easier and more cost-effective if you sort it out at the same time you order your car. This way, you can enjoy your MINI as soon as it is delivered with your adaptations already fitted. If that’s not enough, some adaptations even come at no extra cost.
Our team of Motability specialists can help you establish what you find difficult with your current vehicle and what adaptations may be best for you. Simply choosing the right model, like an automatic gearbox for example, can sometimes solve the mobility issue. Our friendly staff can help you find a vehicle that suits your needs.
Here are a few of the adaptations that are available for you to consider:
