The RS 5 Avant

The sensational new Audi RS 5 Avant redefines the high-performance estate segment by debuting Audi Sport's very first high-performance plug-in hybrid powertrain. The exterior architecture is incredibly wide and aggressive, featuring flared wheel arches that house massive 20-inch 5-spoke Y-style forged alloy wheels. The track-ready stance is enhanced by a bespoke black styling pack plus, a deep RS front spoiler, black roof rails, and privacy glass. For the ultimate aesthetic, the Carbon Black version upgrades to 21-inch matte Neodymium grey wheels and a high-gloss carbon fibre front splitter.

The interior of the RS 5 Avant is an executive environment heavily injected with pure racing DNA. Front occupants sit in premium RS sport seats plus wrapped in fine Nappa leather, beautifully detailed with contrast stitching and a classic RS honeycomb pattern. These seats are fully electric and come standard with memory, heating, ventilation, and massage operations. The driver commands the vehicle via a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel wrapped in deep black Dinamica microfibre, while a standard three-zone electronic climate control ensures absolute passenger comfort.

The engineering heart of the RS 5 Avant combines a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine with a potent electric motor to unleash a jaw-dropping 639 PS and 825 Nm of torque. Channeled through an eight-speed tiptronic transmission, it rockets from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds, aided by an electronic ten-second boost function. Handling is managed by a world-first quattro system with electro-mechanical Dynamic Torque Control in the rear transaxle, which actively splits torque between the rear wheels in just fifteen milliseconds to eliminate understeer.
