I visited Chingford Audi to have my car valued and discuss purchasing a 2025 S3. Unfortunately, the customer service was disappointing. The woman at the front desk came across as dismissive and made me feel unwelcome, despite arriving at 4pm when the dealership closes at 6pm. I was told the staff were busy, although I could see several employees walking around and chatting. As I was genuinely looking to purchase a car, I expected a much more professional and welcoming experience. Even as I was leaving, I could hear the staff member making comments under her breath, which I found unprofessional. Overall, a very disappointing experience and not what I expected from an Audi dealership.

Horrible experience with Audi – extremely disappointing service I have to say, my experience with Audi’s service team was absolutely appalling. I felt poorly treated throughout the process, and I was left with serious concerns about the diagnosis I was given and the way I was pressured into spending more money. My car was diagnosed with a problem and I was presented with a significant repair cost. I was then encouraged to take out a service plan, with the impression that this was the sensible way forward. I was told that the car was ready for collection and was sent a payment link to make payment. However, when I tried to collect the car, it was not starting at all, According to the Service Manager, the car was not working as expected. I was left in an incredibly frustrating position. I spoke with the Service Manager, who I felt came across as though he was doing me a favour rather than genuinely trying to help resolve the situation. I explained that I wasn't prepared to make a decision immediately and that I wanted the weekend to think things over. He stated the alternator needs replacing at a cost of £3600+. Then, almost unbelievably, after I refused to commit to the additional expense and said I needed time to consider my options, the car was suddenly working again. After everything I had been told, this was extremely difficult to understand. I was left questioning the original diagnosis and the advice I had been given. The whole experience made me feel as though I was being backed into a corner to spend more money rather than being given clear, transparent and honest advice about my vehicle. I was also shocked to discover that Audi's labour rate was around £233 per hour including VAT. Given the experience I had, I certainly did not feel that level of cost was justified. I appreciate that faults can be complicated and that diagnoses can sometimes change. However, what concerns me is the way I was treated, the conflicting information I received, the pressure to take out a service plan, and the fact that the car appeared to be working again immediately after I refused to commit to further expenditure. I was told that the car was working as expected by the manufacturer. Unfortunately, that is absolutely not what I experienced. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering using this service department to think twice and get an independent diagnosis/second opinion before agreeing to any expensive repairs or service plans. A very disappointing experience from start to finish.

Chingford Audi is so awful, I do not understand how people are having a good service from them?? Called them as I had an app problem and it was connecting to my vehicle and the guy over the phone said to come down and someone would be able to assist, go down and low and behold I’m now being told we have no one available to help you??? So why did someone say to come down?? What a joke, also took my original Q7 to get a quote to buy another Audi and they under quoted me £2k, so went to another branch instead. My opinion don’t go to Chingford Audi!!!

Visits to Chingford Audi are always pleasant, the self check in service is so seamless and the staff are so friendly, they leave you to it, to work or lounge so it feels like home. The coffee machine is great and I always look forward to a cleaned car at the end. You also receive a video review on the works carried out on the vehicle before given the choice to pay for any identified concerns. On this occasion I was given an unexpected discount on my service which really lit up my day and gave me so much value for the overall experience. I always recommend Chingford Audi especially females if you like the hassle and taken out of car maintenance and the intimidation that can sometimes happen at local garages.
