Servicing itself was fine, however I was told my car would receive a complimentary valet and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The car was returned covered in smear marks across the bonnet, dried water spots all over the exterior, and dirt still clearly visible on the outside, making it obvious the valet was either rushed or not done properly. Considering how much you pay for a service, I expected much better attention to detail.

Avoid dealing with BMW Chelmsford. Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. Poor customer service, lack of care, and no real support after purchase. The management was careless and unhelpful, making the whole process stressful and frustrating. I expected professionalism from a premium brand like BMW, but this dealer completely failed to deliver it. Communication was poor, concerns were ignored, and customer satisfaction clearly did not matter. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Save your time, money, and stress by going elsewhere.

I honestly cannot thank Emma Cooper and the team at Group 1 Chelmsford BMW enough for the outstanding experience they provided throughout the purchase of our BMW 330d. From the very beginning, Emma was professional, patient, attentive and genuinely cared about making sure everything was right for us. No question was ever too much and both Emma and Jerry consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and reassured throughout the whole process. On the handover day, Emma personally came over to greet both myself, sat with us and took the time to have a genuine conversation with us which made the whole experience feel very personal and welcoming. She was incredibly friendly, approachable and made us feel valued as customers from the moment we arrived. Even after collection, when we experienced an unexpected issue with the sunroof, Emma handled the situation immediately and professionally without hesitation, arranging support through our local BMW centre to make things as stress free as possible. The level of customer service, communication and aftersales support we received has honestly been the best experience we have had from a main dealer. Emma is a true credit to BMW and Group 1 Automotive. Thank you again.

Earlier in the week, as a returning customer, I interacted with the Sales team - Robert and Abbie for my next vehicle. The team had been very helpful in understanding my car needs and in turn tuning the possible options in line to my affordability. The team also put all needed efforts to provide me like to like cars for test rides and in detail explained the features that come with each model. I would strongly recommend this team for your next car purchase and look forward to my ongoing BMW experience.

Absolutely disappointing experience with BMW Chelmsford. The level of customer service was unacceptable from start to finish. Staff were careless, unprofessional, and showed very little interest in resolving issues or helping customers properly. Communication was poor, and I was spoken to in a dismissive and uninterested manner. A premium brand like BMW should provide premium customer care, but this experience was the complete opposite. The management especially lacked responsibility and basic customer service standards. The whole situation has genuinely made me reconsider owning a BMW in the future. Even 1 star feels too generous. Very disappointing service.

Even a start is too much !!! We are very disappointed with the service we received regarding our BMW X6, purchased through the BMW Approved Used programme. The vehicle has experienced excessive oil consumption since purchase, which has not been properly addressed or resolved. The level of customer service provided was unacceptable. Communication was poor throughout, with long delays, lack of updates, and no clear effort to support or resolve the issue. The handling of the case by Simon King was particularly careless, and did not reflect the level of professionalism expected from a manager in his position. Even when contact was made, the approach felt dismissive and unhelpful. We expected a much higher standard from a BMW Approved Used vehicle and from the aftersales support team. Unfortunately, this experience has demonstrated a serious lack of customer care. As a result, we have lost confidence in the BMW Approved Used process and would urge others to be cautious when considering similar purchases.
