Absolute appalling attitude from their service staff and techs. Technicians don’t even diagnose problems. They check social media platforms and make their own assumptions rather than seeking the real problem.

Been with this company for 20 years plus. Im currently having problems with a repair / defect that ive paid for.the company are prioritising the car to get it back to me in full working order.as soon as Christmas period is over. So once again I highly recommend colchester group1 bmw.aftersales are very good caring people.credit to the company. Im updating this review as the car has now been fixed. Also I had booked my car into a wheel repair company to fix 4 wheels at the time of the repair. Bmw loaned me a 2 series for the whole duration at NO cost to myself.totally went above and beyond. Much appreciated.

Very disappointed with the service at Group 1 BMW Colchester. I booked my car in for a recall service after receiving a notice in November and was given an appointment for 15th December, having been told the required parts would be available by then. When booking, I was advised that a courtesy car would be available if I dropped the car off the previous working day. However, when BMW Colchester called to confirm the appointment two days before, I was told that a courtesy car would not be available from the previous day. This meant I had to change my work duties specifically to drop the car off on the day of the appointment. After rearranging my work schedule and arriving on the morning of the 15th to drop off my car, I was then told that the parts were not available and the service would need to be rebooked for about a month later. I do not understand why the appointment was confirmed just two days earlier if the parts were not in stock. As a result of this poor communication and lack of organisation, I changed my duty and swapped shifts for no reason at all. Overall, this was a frustrating experience due to conflicting information, poor planning, and wasted time. I would expect much better communication and service from a BMW dealership.

Have visited Group 1 BMW Colchester twice in last two months and have been impressed with the service and work carried out. Have had poor experiences with other BMW garages so to find Group 1 here, close to home, is a relief - would highly recommended to any BMW owner in the Colchester area.
