Terrible service experience. Booked online, carefully explained I had replaced the (expensive) cabin filter so not to repeat that as I had installed a superior filter, Bosch professional version. Ignored my written instructions. No call to say it was ready. Wasted 2 hours of my weekend to collect it. Car not driven to the front for collection: every other time I had a service this was standard. No apologies, the blame passed to the new receptionist. That leaves a very poor impression. Instead of explaining what needed to be done on the service (first in this car) there were threats that if the recommendations were not accepted, they would invalidate the warranty. As if the cabin air filter would cause harm. I purchased the car from this dealer. Shockingly bad.

Absolutely not reliable at all. I bought a BMW X5 from the Ipswich BMW dealership and later discovered the car had been repainted and already had underlying issues at the time of sale. In my opinion, they were aware of these issues but never disclosed them to us during the purchase process. When I approached them to resolve the matter, they simply ignored the concerns and kept saying, “Why didn’t you contact us within 14 days?” Eventually, the matter had to go through BMW via legal channels, but even then nothing was properly honoured and I was left dealing with persistent issues myself. I strongly warn everyone to do your due diligence before buying from this dealership. Ask for a full physical inspection/report in writing before purchasing any vehicle. Otherwise, there are many better and more trustworthy places to buy from. Please do not reply asking me to contact you via email to “resolve the issue,” as that clearly did not work previously.

Great service from Fern! I have just purchased a BMW 1 series from Group 1 Ipswich and I love it! Fern was really friendly and helpful from the first time I looked at the vehicle and kept in regular contact with me throughout the purchasing process (I sold my car privately so there was a bit of a delay from when I agreed to buy the BMW to when I was able to collect it, but she was very patient). When I did collect it, the car was beautifully valeted and Fern went through everything with me (bearing in mind I’m a little bit of a technophobe!) to ensure I understood everything the car had to offer. Great service, great stylish car!!

Recently brought a car from Group 1 BMW Ipswich, my sales executive David Clarke was fantastic, incredibly knowledgeable, never pushy, a very genuine guy, had great product knowledge and was incredibly helpful. The car I was purchasing has some extra work to be done and took a little longer than expected (3 day turn around still) but David kept me informed on every detail. A genuinely great experience!

I recently picked up my brand new car from BMW in Ipswich, and I just wanted to share what an outstanding experience it was. A huge thank you to Steve Owen, who made the whole process seamless from start to finish. His level of service was fantastic — professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive throughout. The handover was especially impressive. Steve took the time to walk me through everything in detail, making sure I was completely comfortable with the car before driving away. It really felt like he went above and beyond to make the experience special. The car itself was presented in perfect condition, which was the icing on the cake. All in all, an exceptional experience — highly recommend both BMW Ipswich and Steve if you're looking for top-class service.

Recently purchased a BMW 2 series from this dealership. From the start the communication between the sales person and myself was slow. I had a part exchange for the new car and was given a low value for my car despite it being in good condition. After a couple of days i was asked to send in some photos of my part exchange and they would see if they could increase the value of my car. When I did arrive at the dealership i was told that they could increase their offer on my car after all. The car I received was however as described, had the car a couple of weeks now and no issues mechanically, there are some minor marks and chips however which werent pointed out in the presentation video and could only be seen with the naked eye. All in all not a terrible experience but could have been better.

Where to find Group 1 Ipswich BMW
