Staff were efficient and welcoming, work completed to a high standard. Only downside is instructions for arriving on site (how drive in service works) and signposting around the car park is non-existent/ very poor.

I booked a security update.
The car was taken to the workshop.
I do not know if the security update was completed.
The host was very good.
The booking I though was "while you wait" but it turned out to be "all day".
A little frustrating.

Visited the showroom in order to test drive one of the available used cars. Immediately from stepping in we were greeted by super friendly reception staff and made to feel welcome. We were offered refreshments while we waited to be introduced to Callum Sergent - one of the sales staff. Callum was polite and friendly. He courteously probed the reason for my visit and took some details. He organised the test drive for me and while out organised a valuation on my own car. Upon return he questioned further about my impression and needs etc and we covered options re purchase and trade-in. I left with a clear understanding of what was on offer. We did some additional research on our own in the days following and some thinking. When I made contact with Callum again it was to establish if this car and deal was a real option for us. After further discussions and deliberations we finally agreed on what seemed a fair deal to both parties. After this, the wheels were set in motion for a fairly smooth and quick changeover. Over the course of our research and scouting we visited 3 other 'local' garages, rang others and researched a LOT of deals and options online. The car in question was advertised outside the budget we set for ourselves. However when we factored in everything we decided to purchase this car. We were very happy with the car and its condition and mileage, we were happy with the 'movement' on the exchange price, we were happy with the added warranty offered with the finance arangement and we were happy with the customer service. During the buying process I also spoke to Pable and Ollie - both of whom were also friendly, honest and professional. Overall, the whole experience was a positive one and I / we are very pleased with our 'new' car. This is a lot of money for us and a big purchase and not one we do often so it is important and nice that the experience around it is positive. Callum was forever professional and honest and not pushy or false. We appreciate this level of service and are happy and satisfied customers. Many thanks to Callum and the team.

My wife and I both have range rover Evoque's which were recalled to Chester due to the passenger air bag defect. Initially i spoke to Sid to try and get both vehicles booked in for half a day so we wouldn't have to travel so much. For a job which takes between 40minutes and an hour i was surprised that he insisted that we bring each one in for a whole day. One was booked in for the 7th April and the next was for 8th April. This is purely for the convenience of the dealership so that the mechanics can fill in small time slots to fill their day. I put this down to lack of planning and no thought for customer service or the inconvenience to the customer. This dealership is more interested in pleasing management and fulfilling targets. Land rovers and range rovers are easy to sell, but managing customer service in Chester is a lot more difficult. I knew from previous experiences with this dealership that they would mess things up somehow, so when I went with my wife to drop her car off and bring her home i asked about the appointment for my car the next day. Guess what, there was no booking, no surprise there. I told the lady that we would take my wife's car home unless they re booked my car in for the following day as they had promised. We had made arrangements for looking after grandchildren and moved other things around to suit JLR for the 2 days we would only have one car. However there was one positive out of it, because i was getting very annoyed at what i perceived this dealerships lack of attention to detail. Ellie went to speak to the invisible management and was able to get my car in for the following day, thank you Ellie. On leaving the dealership on Wednesday 8th I noticed that my dashcam had been disconnected, and the wires were left dangling. i was most displeased with this, on checking my wife's car i found that they had done the same to her dashcam. If either of us had been in an accident that wasn't our fault we would have no proof. I called the dealership back and spoke to Laura (i think) who apologized for this and said it was policy to disconnect dashcams as filming in the workshop was banned. If you are going to disconnect dashcams then at least re connect them or have the courtesy to inform your customers of this. Laura was very apologetic and offered me and my wife a voucher via email for dinner at the Grosvenor Pulford. It does not surprise me that to date this has not been received Yet again i am disappointed in this dealerships lack of attention to detail, customer service and ability to plan small jobs. If it wasn't for the fact that I am a Land Rover fan i would not buy another JLR vehicle after experiencing this level of service.

Helpful response with fairly quick diagnosis. The Service Co- ordinater - Emily was excellent throughout, -reassuring, clear and efficient. She informed me of the problem and how it could be dealt with and contacted my extended warranty providers. The car was booked in for repair the following week and I was informed as to how I could use the car- short, necessary joyrneys. I was then able to collect it and informed by text throughout.

I bought a 2018 Jaguar F Type on the 22nd of January from Group 1 Chester and two days later found that the windscreen was sealed with Insulation Tape and Super Glue. The vehicle had an MOT on Tuesday that week, at which time the Windscreen Wipers would have been checked for their condition. How the MOT tester did not notice the Insulation Tape, beggers belief, as I noticed straight away on my 1st opportunity to go around the car in detail. The vehicle also had a Full Service and again the technician would have checked the Windscreen Wipers for their condition, and yet again it appears that the issue with the Insulation Tape was not picked up. The vehicle was washed and valeted prior to my collection and again this issue was not picked up. It seems that the vehicle checkers, valeters and service technicians are pretty poor. I have also raised this issue via email to Group 1 head office but did not receive the courtesy of a response. I am also despite repeated requests awaiting details of the 12 month warranty and breakdown cover.
