Nobody has answered my query about how a car with only 13,000 miles could develop a HV fault. JLR considered the average life of a HV battery to be well over 100,000 miles!
To make matters worse the HV batteries were on back order. We had a Ford hire car from Enterprise and it was only when I contacted JLR head office, the HV battery was expedited to Group 1 in Norwich.
For such a lovely Range Rover car to be exchanged for a Ford for over three weeks is unacceptable.
This is a sorry state of affairs and I worry about the viability of JLR as a company.
Later that day it was confirmed that my car couldn’t be done that day. This is where the service advisor and customer services department worked a solution with me. From that point I received excellent service from them and the Technician who completed the work. The team at Norwich turned things from a disaster (caused by central booking) into a much better outcome.
