I visited the Preston dealership for the first time due to an issue with my vehicle, and I was very impressed with the service I received. My car was booked in quickly by a member of staff who was professional, courteous, and very helpful throughout. I was also provided with a courtesy car for the day, which made things much easier. Although the initial repair was completed, a faulty part meant the vehicle needed a further inspection a few days later. When I returned, the team inspected and repaired the car while I waited at the dealership and worked from my laptop. Within a couple of hours, the car was returned fully repaired and everything resolved. Excellent all-round service from everyone involved — friendly, efficient, and professional throughout.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the way this issue was handled by Group 1 Jaguar Preston.
My vehicle was originally returned to the supplying dealer to address a rear windscreen issue. Following this repair, the high-level spoiler brake light was left disconnected. As a result, the vehicle was taken to Group 1 Jaguar Preston for diagnosis.
Despite it being clear that the fault had been caused by the supplying dealer, and despite my vehicle being covered by the manufacturer's warranty, I was informed that a charge of approximately £200 would be payable to reconnect the cable. I provided Group 1 Jaguar Preston with full details of the supplying dealer and authorised both parties to communicate directly to resolve the matter. However, rather than the dealerships coordinating this between themselves, I was left to act as the intermediary, chasing both parties for updates and effectively performing the role of a service manager.
What I found most disappointing was that Group 1 Jaguar Preston refused to release my vehicle until payment had been received, even after the supplying dealer had confirmed that they had authorised settlement of the invoice. Due to internal payment processing delays, the funds were not received until the following day, causing unnecessary inconvenience and stress.
I fully understand that Group 1 Jaguar Preston is entitled to be paid for work carried out. However, the way this was handled placed unreasonable pressure on me as the customer and left me feeling as though I might be personally responsible for charges arising from a fault that was clearly caused by another Jaguar retailer.
As a customer, I expect Jaguar dealerships to work together professionally and resolve issues internally, particularly where the vehicle remains under manufacturer warranty and there is documented evidence showing responsibility lies with another dealer. Instead, I was left to manage the dispute myself and experienced poor communication, unnecessary delays, and an unacceptable level of customer service.
Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience that fell well below the standard of service I would expect from the Jaguar network.

My comments relate to a problem with my vehicles radio having an intermittent fault, virtually from new (It wouldn't work). It took three visits to your workshop, over a 12 month period to hopefully correct the fault with a software update.
After attending your garage your staff could not find the fault due to the intermittent nature of the problem and returned the vehicle to me with the same problem. I had to resort to sending a short video of the problem when it occurred to show the fault in action. I think after the second unsuccessful visit to your garage, the report sheet referred to the fact that they were waiting for the updates from Land Rover. The months went by with no progress or updates whatsoever, so I had to make contact again to chase up any progress.
I eventually spoke to the Service Manager who referred to the possibility of the update being sent to my vehicle over the SOTA network, which never happened in the time scale provided. So I again made contact with the service manager, explained its now been ongoing for12 months and the fact that I have had enough of false promises etc etc.
The service manager then asked me to sit in the vehicle at home and to read out the software updates currently displayed on the vehicles display screen. I said there are NO UPDATES displayed whatsoever. It was obvious from her reply that she fully expected some update information to be displayed on the screen, and basically checked with me that I was looking at the correct screen for any updates to be displayed. So she asked me to check again to make sure I was looking at the correct screen information and asked me to read the update out loud. I again said there is NOTHING DISPLAYED, to which she asked me to take a screen shot of what i was looking at and send it to her, which I did. It was my opinion that she fully expected the vehicle to have previously received SOTA updates and didn't believe me.
Following this the vehicle was booked in the garage for the third time to investigate the vehicle NOT displaying the last software update. The vehicle worksheet stated that they carried out a telematics health check and confirmed updates required.
They also updated the telematics module and re-synced SOTA, which tells me that this was another fault with my vehicle.
This has taken 12 months to hopefully finally resolve this vehicle fault, which I have since read that the software used by Land Rover is full of BUGS, ERRORS and DEFECTS and is well known in the industry.
I could go on but no point really because nothing will change.

I have no negative feedback to share. Valet on car was also very good; to a hight standard with all cills nicely cleaned. Overall, outstanding experience.
