Top service from start to finish from MB Coventry, Dropped my AMG A45 off this morning for a service, got greeted by a gentleman called Sam, looked after me with an AMG CLA35 courtesy car. đŸ˜ŽđŸ‘ŒđŸ» Communication was great throughout the day, to dropping the car back and picking mine up, Also a thank you to Ashley for a great handover. Very satisfied customer.

I purchased a used car from Mercedes-Benz of Coventry on the 25/08/25. Two weeks ago (approx. 11/02/26), several warning lights came up on the dashboard telling me that the nearside headlamp/indicator unit was malfunctioning/not working. I booked the car in for a service as this was due as well and asked the Service Department to look at the Headlamp/Indicator faults and confirm why the car had also been supplied without a full Locking Wheel Nut Kit (I had discovered this the week prior when i had to get a punctured tyre changed. Upon Inspection, the Service Department found that there was a crack in the bottom of the Headlamp/Indicator unit which was the root cause of the issue. As the car was still under warranty, i asked them to change the unit while they were completing the service. I was then informed that the Sales Department would not cover either the Headlamp/Indicator Issue or the incomplete Locking Wheel Nut Issue but have never received an explanation why. I explained that while i could not fully prove that the Locking Wheel Nuts had all been present when i purchased the car, why would i remove one but they were adamant that the car would not have been supplied without a full set. In regard to the Headlamp/Indicator Unit, the Sales Department just said that they would not cover the fault. I explained that they had sent me a photo showing the damage on the underside of the unit, this is an area that is inaccessible to me and in the absence of any exterior damage to either the bodywork or the headlamp/Indicator Unit, the crack must have been present when i purchased the car, the issue only coming to light recently due to the high volume of rain that we had experienced. I have had no response from the Sales Department to this, in fact, i have had no direct response from them during the whole process. Given the Sales Department position, the Service Department said that they would not be able to make the necessary repairs under the warranty and that i could collect the car as they considered the matter closed. When i arrived to collect the car on 21/02/26, i found it to be in pieces and completely unsafe and unroadworthy. When I spoke to the Service Department Team, they were clearly unaware of this and tried to give me the keys back, I explained to them that the car was not in a safe condition to drive and suggested that they go and check for themselves. They returned, agreeing that the car was not ready and in all fairness, worked hard to get the vehicle into a roadworthy condition as quick as possible, but this was yet another example of a breakdown in management processes, much like the one that had allowed me to be sold a faulty car with missing locking wheel nuts. I would expect better service from a ‘back street’ garage, to receive such a poor experience from a main Dealer such as Group 1 is dreadful. Update - As of 05/03/26, i have raised 2 official complaints on the Group 1 Website, both of which i have had no response to despite them committing to replying within 5 days (this was approx. 2 weeks ago). I have also emailed my issues to the contact in the reply to my original review on here as requested, again, i have had no response. I have now had to raise the case with The Motor Ombudsman in the hopes that they can achieve a satisfactory resolution.
