Bought my first Mini last year and have never looked back. Since then, every interaction has been pain free. Service is always good and I must mention Britney, who helped on my initial visit and subsequently too - she is friendly, helpful and basically gets things done.

I don’t usually post things like this online, but after my experience at MINI Chelmsford today, I felt I had to share it.I went in as I was interested in part-exchanging my current vehicle and had some questions about a MINI I’d seen online. I spoke to a strawberry-blonde-haired lady who, I’m honestly not exaggerating, was one of the rudest and most condescending people I’ve ever encountered in a customer service environment.I was genuinely interested in potentially buying a car and had the money available to do so. I’ve also owned a MINI before, so I wasn’t just browsing with no intention of purchasing. However, when I explained that I liked the particular model because of the price and the model itself, she repeatedly questioned me about why I liked it and simply wouldn’t let the conversation go. At one point, she even said, “I’m actually not trying to be difficult,” which, unfortunately, was exactly how the interaction was coming across.To her credit, I think she realised afterwards that she had perhaps gone a little too far and became noticeably nicer, but by that point the impression had already been made.Maybe she was having a bad day — we all have them — and I genuinely hope that was the case. However, as a customer who was seriously considering buying a car, the experience was enough for us to leave and drive straight to MINI Harold Wood instead.I do ultimately want to purchase a MINI, but I can say with absolute certainty that I would not buy one from that dealership after today’s experience.Customer service makes a huge difference, particularly when someone is potentially spending a significant amount of money with you. I just wish the experience had been a more positive one.
