Dreadful customer service, dismal communication and a completely disinterested attitude. The two main issues here were 1) how they dealt with the diagnosis of a vehicle fault and 2) their efforts to get it fixed. Issue 1: Waited 3 weeks to get an appointment. Brought the car to the garage as the main driving console was not turning on. It would flicker on and off and usually turn off. It would remain turned off for hours at a time which is a problem when you can't see what speed you are driving or how much charge is left on your battery. Technician looked at it and said there is "No Electrical Fault", Apparently they plugged their computer tool in and it said there was no issue. "Computer Says No" and that's the end of the diagnosis. Nevermind the fact I told them it had been turning off for weeks. There is obviously a problem when the screen is regularly black but my experience driving the car was not important and it was "there is no fault". So I asked if they would be able to replace the console. They said they could but because they had not diagnosed the console as having an issue they could not be held responsible if the issue continued after the console was replaced. (!) So basically I could continue driving with an unreliable console or I could spend almost £1000 and maybe it might be fixed. There was no interest from the garage in figuring out what was wrong with one of their own branded vehicles. Issue 2: Decided to replace the console. Waited another 3 weeks for an appointment. Asked for a written quote to be emailed to me. Was told the part would be ordered and the replacement would take a few hours on the day. At 6pm the night before the appointment I received a call saying the appointment had been cancelled as they had "bumped" my slot for another client. Extremely last minute and quite unprofessional. As it was impossible to call the garage as the phone isn't often answered I drove to the garage to rebook. I was given a new appointment in another 3 weeks. When I asked reception whether the part had been received and was ready for the new appointment I was told it should only take 2 weeks for it to arrive.....which gave me the impression that no one had bothered to order the part!!! I also had to ask again for the written quote to be emailed to me. At 6pm the night before the appointment was cancelled AGAIN as the part hadn't arrived. Not happy and the staffer had no idea when the part would arrive. Also, the written quote was still not sent. I was told this would definitely be sent to me and they would let me know the following day when the part would arrive. Well, guess what? No one called and the quote was never sent!!! Then, to top it all off weeks later I get an email from the garage to say that my appointment (that I had never been notified of) had been cancelled!!! And would I be available in a few weeks time. What a joke. Absolute waste of time. They make you wait months and do absolutely nothing, apart from cancel on you. And forget about getting an actual diagnosis on your vehicle. The MINI/BMW garages in Hook, Guildford and Bracknell all have much better ratings. Why would anyone come here? TERRIBLE experience.

Poor service. No one picks up the phone. Service centre is in a very poor and inconvenient location. They do not provide a courtesy car service or a drop off like they use to. Poor communication in general. High price. Don't recommend them. I will not use them again.

I have used this BMW service centre for the last couple of decades. In previous incarnation, under the Barons name and management, the service was poor and quality and customer service was way below standard. Now with Group 1 and, I assume with new management and staff, they have been great. Well looked after. Staff are welcoming, professional and explain things clearly. I can trust this site again. Keep up the standard and good work. Much appreciated.

I went in for a key deletion after being robbed in London. The guys at BMW were great. Everything from the greeting, through the check in process and fast service was first rate. It made an unpleasant situation so much better and I’m incredibly grateful for the help and customer care I received.

By far the absolute WORSE service department in the country (and Italy and France, even Greece where I have had BMWs). First they told me my car would be ready in 48 hours, then they said that parts will arrive in August, two months later. So I go abroad and then I get a call within a few weeks that they 'sorted it after all' and I was supposed to go and collect the car. Thats not half of it - I asked REPEATEDLY for a non-Bumper payment link, which was never sent. And then someone had the ABSOLUTE GALL to pressure me for payment from abroad. The final straw was that the payment email was just an amount. No work done versus work needed/identified, no breakdown, not even confirmation of the MOT and basic service I had requested. You can never reach them, no matter what time you call. They are rude and have no service (customer or technical) skills whatsoever. I would rather drive 100mi to my old branch at Oxford than ever try these people again. if you know what is good for your BMW/Mini, avoid the service at 'Farnoborough' (also a lie, it's in Ash Vale) - at all costs.

Bad comms during a service requesting 2k for unnecessary work. Trickle feeding costs every 30 mins. Staff polite and apologized.
