I'm afraid to say that I've had a very negative experience with the service centre. My mini had a drivetrain error (after clutch repair works away from home), and I thought I'd go for the specialist Reading service centre to diagnose the issue and hopefully come up with an easy fix. They performed a software reset at a pretty high cost, which didn't fix the issue and the error message came back shortly afterwards. I phoned them back to tell them that the reset hadn't worked, but they didn't offer to have another look (the overall attitude was that they were too 'busy'). I then asked for a copy of the diagnostic report that I could take elsewhere, but no-one ever got back to me, despite repeated calls and even escalating with the complaints department (whose response has also been non-existent after waiting over two weeks). I ended up having to take the car elsewhere and the issue was fixed by another garage with a simple change of spark plugs (they also diagnosed it quickly)! As a regular customer, I've never experienced such a bad service from Reading service centre, and it's pretty shocking coming from an official mini dealership. P.S. for completeness, following the response below, the Reading mini office did eventually call me back and apologise / issue a refund.

Awful service. Never returned phone calls. Made promises about replacing one tyre on my mini that they never kept. Had the car for 4 days and nothing happened to it. I ended up having to pay a mobile tyre company to fix the tyre in the car park at mini! I wouldn’t recommend their customer service or their ability to carry out the simplest of tasks!

I cannot recommend Natalie at MINI highly enough — she made what is usually a stressful and overwhelming process genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. From our very first interaction, Natalie was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly transparent. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered every question with honesty, and made sure I felt completely confident and comfortable at every stage of buying my car. There was never any pressure — just genuine care, patience, and a commitment to helping me find the right vehicle. Natalie went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, kept communication consistent and clear, and made the entire experience seamless. Her professionalism combined with her friendly, positive attitude made her an absolute joy to deal with. It truly felt like she was just as excited for me as I was. This is hands down the best customer service experience I’ve ever had when purchasing a car. If you’re looking for someone who is trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what she does, Natalie is the person you want. She is a huge credit to MINI, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone — I’ll absolutely be returning for my next car. Thank you, Natalie, for turning such a big purchase into such a positive and memorable experience!

Polite and friendly upon entering the show room. Informative staff who are willing to help. I didn’t have to wait too long to be served, nice waiting area and immaculate show room. Young man serving me was most professional, did his research and gave me what I required to make a decision. Plenty of parking outside, lifts and ramps for wheel chair use.

Kriste was excellent, all communication with the purchase of my mini was superb! Mini arrived early and at collection all documentation to sign was explained well and so was the handover of the car along with the workings and setting up of my lovely Mini. I have to say the whole experience of purchasing my new mini was the best I have ever had when purchasing a new vehicle thanks to Kriste’s professionalism and knowledge!
