I was quoted £355 for a new battery fitted all in. Upon arrival the customer service person was polite but it looked forced and I was told the price for the battery fitted was £443. I told her that I was quoted £355 and she immediately dismissed it saying that I was misquoted and they would look into that. I then was told it was £355 for a battery check. I questioned this and was told that I was getting it free. I also asked about the friends and family discount and was told there wasn't one. I questioned this so the customer service person went to the manager. I was asked who it was that was connected to group one. My wife used to work for Group 1 Toyota and that we have good friends that still work there but I was informed that it's only if you are related to a person who works for Group 1 Jaguar site Derby, at first it was jaguar only but that changed. I asked the customer service person if they knew about why the battery needed to be fitted by jaguar as in all other cars a quick swap of the battery was easy. I was told there was a need for the newer models but mine should be fine , I agreed the information would be asked about and I would be told. All the way through this exchange I felt this person could not be bothered by my questions. The battery installation was complete and my car was washed which was done very well, hence the one star. I asked my wife to come in with me on picking the car up as I told her about my exchange. We arrived and was greeted by a different customer service person who told us that she was helping the original person who was busy with another customer. Before I paid my wife asked again about the mis-quote and the friends and family discount of which the new customer service person said there was one. The new customer service person said she would go to ask the manager. After a couple of minutes the original customer service person arrived with an attitude. Apologies we're made for her not being able to see us and then said " I hear you have a problem", we said about the issues but was told we have been over this. I paid the bill and my wife was shocked at the way I was talked to and the demeanor of the customer service person. Jaguar is an expensive franchise that is known for it's good work and customer service. The battery at £355 was already over a hundred pounds more than anywhere else. There was some other work identified for £700. I've found another place for the work to be done. Jaguar Land Rover derby is not a must it's a choice.

I have had a few problem with the car from the first day it was delivered. It has been back to JLR 4 times for inspection and rectification. On the third visit your engineers also noticed that the vehicle sills had not been painted. This meant I was without the vehicle for a further two days. This now being the third manufacturing fault the vehicle had from build.
On return of the vehicle I assume that the sills had been painted (as I wasn’t aware they weren’t). However, although the door seal had been sorted, the main issue of the clacking nose above the front right windscreen has still not been sorted. I have emailed your representative regarding the issue not being sorted and I have not been contacted regards the issue.

Our car was booked in for a battery check and we were told it would be an hour to an hour and a half, so we were waiting. We arrived at 10.00 as arranged. At 12.30 our car still hadn’t been looked at. It was eventually taken in the workshop, but it took until 3.15 to confirm we needed a new battery. We had this fitted and eventually left at 4.00, six hours after arriving. Though we weren’t charged for the battery fitting, we were left feeling we had wasted a day.

After experiencing ongoing issues with my Evoque, I’ve had numerous interactions with the Derby JLR branch over the past 12 months. I want to especially recognise Christian for his outstanding customer service from day one. He has consistently gone above and beyond, always on hand to offer support and reassurance during what has been a stressful time. More recently, Abby in the service team has taken over while my car has been in and out of the garage. She has been fantastic at keeping me updated, always contactable, and has supported in working towards a resolution. Her professionalism and communication have made a huge difference throughout the process. I also want to highlight the mobile technician team, who have been outstanding every time they’ve attended. They’ve been friendly, reassuring, and incredibly easy to deal with. A special thank you to John, who has assisted me several times and has been brilliant on each visit - his expertise and kindness have not gone unnoticed. Thank you to everyone at JLR Derby - but these individuals in particular truly deserve recognition for their exceptional support.

Within a mile following the service the vehicle's instrument panel warned about a wrongly inflated tyre. We returned to the garage where the problem was corrected. However nobody made any apology!

We received good and friendly service. The only issue was that we were kept waiting for 40 minutes to check the car in with no explanation. Communication good concerning the progress of the work being carried out and issues explained and dealt with. Good customer service on collection
