Thrilled to receive a recall for a car that's over 20 years of age. Initial communication was excellent to book me an appointment. After that the communication became misguided. My car drop off appointment was 9:30 on the Friday , I was informed that after initial inspection assessment that I would be contacted to be informed if the car needed to stay for the recall repair. I was informed this call would be at 12pm. I had to phone numerous occasions for this information. This was most inconvenient as I waiting in the city for this call and I quote 'incase the car was ready to drive home by not requiring the repair after inspection' I was informed I would receive a call at 12pm. No call, 12:30 no call... I made contact and was told my car hasn't even moved from the customer parking slot I parked in at 9:30am. As you can imagine, so frustrating after waiting around all morning!! The car then stayed with G1 chester over the weekend and into Monday and Tuesday. I collected it late Tuesday but yet again I had to continually call to receive updates. Each time I finally got through it felt like my call was promoting the staff to get my car sorted as each time the response was something along the lines of 'your vehicle is just going in to the workshop now' I received this update twice in the same day. How can it be going in to the workshop twice in the same day? It either has or hasn't gone in to the workshop!! I was offered no alternative transport knowing I would be without a car for a number of days. I had to use public transport as my wife needed our other car for the children. Very inconvenient due to poor communication. From initial communication it sounded like my car would be inspected and repaired the same day. There were no parts for the repair and had to be ordered , therefore I was without a car for 5 days! A huge organisation calls for a recall, which will likely to involve repair, but don't have the parts on site to undertake the repair?Makes no sense to me. Whilst I'm appreciative of a recall for such an old car, I'm really disappointed in the service which wasted my time hanging around on Friday for the car or any kind of update which I continually had to chase despite being promised to be contacted and the resulting issue being without a car for so long and again a lack of updates and having to chase all the time.

Have an air con problem with RR Evoque bought through Group 1 Chester. First date that G1 can look at the car to fix the problem is in 22 days time - 3 weeks and 1 day!! Needs to be booked in all day. I should have paid heed to the RR reliability record, but I really didn't think it would 3 weeks before the car could even be looked at.

Chester Landrover absolutely do not buy a car from these, I left a review when I collected my new Range Rover pleased with the service, when I collected it from "The Salesmen" Three days into owning the car the sunroof would not shut, returned the car almost three months later got it back with a leaking and windy sunroof, Chester not interested had to get the car rejected no input from Chester at all no even a returned phone call? I was told its a Range Rover manufacturing issue? So the basicly wiped there hands of the car. Finally got shut of the car look almost 12 months to sort out!! Still trying to get all my monies back but almost there, shocking after care service, shocking people to deal with i would have given 0 stars if I could buy at your peril, I will spend my money elsewhere.. on another brand. AMATURES!!!!!

My initial call on a Saturday morning was picked up by Georgia Lloyd. We discussed the vehicle in which I was interested, at the end of which, I decided to set off on the 200mile journey to view it that day. Georgia reassured me that it would be "reserved" for me pending my arrival. The viewing and test drive went well and I decided I wanted to buy it. Paperwork, formalities, accessories and deposits were completed. Collection was arranged for the following Friday. Throughout the process Georgia was professional, knowledgeable, accommodating and extremely pleasant. The handover was delightful with some really nice touches that made it an event. Interaction with other supporting sales team members, namely Pablo Evans and the Sales Manager, whose name escapes me, were equally pleasant. Thank you to one and all. I am thoroughly looking forward to owning and driving my Land Rover Approved Defender.
