Initially the decision to go and look at volkswagen was prompted by the lack of interest shown by fish brothers skoda dealership staff when I went to purchase a skoda that I had test driven in late January . Thankfully nothing like the reception I received at volkswagen ,salesperson Alexander Hedger could not be more helpful and professionalat the point of sale, with the same budget I had to choose a two year old car rather than a nearly new at skoda . Anyway a deal was negotiated and purchase made ,would have given yourselves a 5 star review but the experience was let down by low level of valeting, which I pointed out at the test drive . Collecting the car on the 7th of March the minor scratches on rear bumper were buffed out as agreed and the negotiated free GardX coating was said to have been applied and sticker in windscreen was pointed out, this is where the valeting failed was the GardX applied over the dirt as all was still evident ,not sure was it even applied wouldn't the car been coated on initial purchase ,not really cleaned to a good level even down to old tyre balancing weight sticky pads on front wheels ,not great level of detailing, to be fair Alex did offer to get a cloth and clean it. After the point sale the star rating goes down hill,the distinct lack of prehand over inspection and missed points of concern ,customer service no longer exists,to the point where your topped up with deflected excuses(the polite version)making you lose the will to live. Your left with overwhelming feeling of being ripped off

Every time I look at a vehicle I am interested in by this dealer, they seem to raise the price. It makes no sense why the price of a depreciating asset rises, especially when no one bought it at the previous lower price. It seems others have said the same thing before but the dealer has failed to care what potential customers say here. I therefore have no trust or respect for this dealer and will be spending my money elsewhere.

Visited showroom in regards to purchasing another but swinging away from traditional combustion car to EV. The rep (Simo) I spoke to was very informative and experienced in both what I need to what was available and viable offering suggestions. Nothing is plain along, but he made me feel at ease. Always good to speak to a professional even though most of us driver daily having an outside view into what we need is always a great thing.
