smart #3 BRABUS
The car on display is the range-topping #3 BRABUS. Powered by two electric motors, the performance variant delivers 428hp and 543Nm torque, sending it from 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds. Fed by a 62kWh usable capacity battery, the smart #3 BRABUS can travel up to 258 miles* WLTP. Using a DC rapid charger like those here at GRIDSERVE's Braintree Electric Forecourt, the car can complete a 10-80% top up in under half an hour at a peak input of 150kW.
The car gains BRABUS-specific features like the 20" alloy wheels, redesigned bumpers, and matching orange exterior trim. Inside, the double-B emblem features on the two-piece front seats, and the Duo Leather upholstery is contrasted by orange stitching. Heated front seats, a head-up display, 9.2" instrument cluster, 12.8" infotainment display, front storage area, folding rear seats, powered tailgate, 360-degree camera, fixed glass sunroof, keyless entry, and much more come as standard. This car is priced from £46,460 on the road.
The smart #3 range
More variants are available, with the smart #3 offering four equipment levels, two drivetrains, and two battery sizes. The #3 Pro opens the range with a 47kWh usable capacity battery, and up to 202 miles* WLTP range. Standard equipment includes LED headlights, 19" alloy wheels, active cruise control, fixed glass sunroof, a powered tailgate, and much more. The smart #3 Pro+ features the same specifications, but a larger 62kWh battery, and a WLTP range of up to 270 miles*. Premium equipment level for the smart #3 adds a heat pump, matrix LED headlights, Beats surround sound system, automatic parking, and enhanced ambient lighting.
These three variants are all powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 272hp and 343Nm torque. The fourth smart #3 model available in the UK is the high-performance #3 BRABUS. Pricing starts at £33,960 for smart #3 Pro, £37,960 for Pro+, and £40,660 for Premium.
The smart #1
The first new-generation smart model. Built on the same platform as the #3, the #1 is a traditionally styled compact crossover offering plenty of space in a compact package. The main differences are the shape of the roof, the design of the seats, and the number of air vents on the centre console: the #1 has two, while the #3 has three.
A brand-new entry-level variant called #1 Pure is coming to the UK in 2025, starting from £29,960. The smart #1 also offers Pro, Pro+, Premium, and BRABUS model lines, with the same 47 or 62kWh batteries, and single or dual-motor drivetrains available.
The all-new smart #5
Joining the range later this year, the #5 is smart's first mid-sized SUV. The car will offer more space, more tech, and more capability than ever before. An optional full-width infotainment display powered by a gaming graphics engine allows for unparalleled connectivity and usability. Two large batteries are available: a 74.4kWh unit offering up to 289 miles* of range, and a 94kWh unit returning up to 367 miles*. The larger battery uses an 800-volt electrical architecture, meaning DC charging at up to 400kW is possible; a 10-80% charge takes less than 18 minutes.
Crowning the range is the new smart #5 BRABUS, the most powerful smart ever made. Its dual-motor drivetrain delivers a mighty 646hp and 710Nm torque, propelling the car from 0-62mph in just 3.8 seconds, and on to a top speed of 130mph. The new smart #5 will go on sale ahead of its arrival in the UK this autumn.
