The ID. Promise: Because Loving Your EV Should Be Easy

Going electric is easy and we're confident you'll love it too. That's why we’re offering you 100 days to get comfortable and feel good driving your new ID. model. If it's not the right fit, you can bring it back.

We're sure you'll love your new Volkswagen ID. model, however if it's not right for you, our ID. Promise gives you the peace of mind that you can return your car between 80 to 100 days after your handover. Once it's been returned, you'll receive a refund minus reasonable costs like damage, modification repairs, depreciation, Ohme wall box charges and finance deductions⁠¹.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I eligible for the ID promise?

To be eligible for the ID. Promise offer, you must be a UK resident aged 18 years or above and have purchased one of the following ID. models through cash or finance, excluding Contract Hire: ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7 and ID.7 Tourer. Motability and Fleet customers are not eligible.

For what reason can I return my ID. Model?

You can return your ID. model for any reason, as long as you are between 80 and 100 days from your handover.

What type of order is eligible?

Both new factory orders and new stock vehicles are eligible.

What if I want to part exchange my current car?

You can still part exchange your car as you would normally. If you decide to return your ID. model between 80 to 100 days after your handover, you will be refunded the amount equal to the valuation of your part exchange, but your old vehicle will not be returned.
