What does a Volkswagen service include?

There are two types of servicing available for your Volkswagen car: Fixed and Flexible.

First service: 9,300 miles or 12 months.
Second service: 18,600 miles or 24 months.
Third service: 27,900 miles or 36 months.

For Volkswagen cars older than three years:
Alternate between minor and major services every 10,000 miles or every year.
Minor service: every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever is first.
Major service: every 20,000 miles or 24 months, whichever is first.

Volkswagen Flexible service
Volkswagen Flexible service is recommended if you drive:
- Over 25 miles a day
- Long distances regularly
- At constant speeds with menial vehicle and engine loading
Your car’s service light will let you know when it’s time for your next service. Your engine oil levels are monitored, alerting you when it’s time to get your next service booked in.
What does service now mean on Volkswagen?
If you see the ‘Service Now’ alert on your dash, it means it’s time to get your next Volkswagen car service. The computer counts your mileage, letting you know when you’ve hit your next service interval or when your engine oils need to be changed. This alert is reset by your servicing centre once complete.
