Amarok Taxation Update
Starting from April 2025, double-cab pick-up trucks like the Amarok are taxed as passenger cars rather than commercial vehicles, following the HM Treasury Budget announcement on 30 October 2024.
From 1 April 2025: For Corporation Tax, double cab pick-ups with a payload of one tonne or more are treated as cars.
From 6 April 2025: For income tax, these vehicles are treated as cars for capital allowances, benefits in kind, and certain business profit deductions.
Transitional arrangements apply for vehicles purchased, leased, or ordered before 6 April 2025, lasting until the vehicle is sold, the lease ends, or 5 April 2029, whichever is soonest.
