Full service and mot, as always fantastic service from Jack Fielding. The work took a little longer than anticipated and that was fine but when it was concluded and I sat down to read the paper work and pay I found the woman who dealt with me to be to be surly to the point of being rude. Couldn't wait to leave.

2026 This is how a dealership should be. I’ve retuned to update my car and this time it was Emily who dealt with me patiently and professionally. The staff work as a team and the whole experience was once again pleasant and smooth. The after sales service has always been excellent. 2024 Tony the salesman was endlessly helpful and courteous.

New car was not up to standard I would have expected

The college i dealt with was very misleading. He quoted me three prices. one price of £245 over the phone when i was booking my service he said it was cheaper and would cost £205 and on the day he said no he was wrong and it was £290. This is ridiculous and misleading. He claims theres no record and started being rude and asking for proof, if anything it would of been a recorded call so check. Anyhow at the office he also said your car is here we can wash it for you while its here and upon returning to kt car it wasnt washed. At this point I just left disappointed. Im questioning whether my service has actually been done and my money was just taken for me. This has definitely changed my opinion on VW as I have been a long term user of the brand spanning 85% of my driving life.

I called in to book an inspection and oil service, and was offered a ‘while you wait’ there and then. It couldn’t possibly be better than this, the staff went out of their way to be helpful, made sure we were comfortable during the wait . I will certainly be using their expertise for my next service, thank you guys, They even washed my car! Nice coffee too 👌

After having Audi’s, BMW’s and Mercedes all my life I decided it was time to try the Volkswagen Golf R so I purchased one at the end of January from a friend of mine. After having the car a couple of weeks I noticed a little creaking noise that was only happening when I was going really slow and steering left and right or going over bumps. So knowing that it was still under 3 years old and under warranty I rang up Volkswagen customer helpline to see if I could get this investigated. First I was told that it wasn’t under warranty. Then after the phone call I was told by a friend of mine that is definitely is so I rang back and then was informed to at it is in fact under warranty. I tried to book the car in for the repair in Chester group 1 Volkswagen (15 mins away) but they had no availability until 4 weeks so I went on to book Altrincham Volkswagen instead (70 mins away). On the day of dropping the car off I had a call from “Gayle Bellamy” saying that there was no noise at all coming from the car and that there is nothing wrong with it. She had a really bad attitude and was talking to me like I was making it up. So I told her that my friend who is a mechanic had got in the car with me prior to ringing up Volkswagen to listen to the noise and that he told me to tell Volkswagen that it sounded like the strut mount bearings. So she said she would tell them that it was the strut bearings. Then after that I had no call from her again all day. I called and emailed her. Still nothing. Then the next day I called up to ask what was going on with the car and she said again with a poor attitude “as I have told you, there is nothing wrong with the car and there’s no sound coming from it and that I needed to come to altrincham to show them the noise” so I politely reminded her that I am an hour and 10 minutes away and that my girlfriend would have to have a a day off work to bring me and that it would be much more easier if they could just check the bearings first. Then she said that they already have checked and there is nothing up with it. Long story short I travelled all the way there to be met with gayle (horrendous attitude) who introduced me to “Nathan” the mechanic (really nice bloke) who I then got in the car with and showed him the noise. His first words were “oh it sounds like the strut mount bearings” and he also said he hadn’t been informed of this. Siobhan resolved the situation then after I complained at the main desk but I was informed that my car would then have to be there all weekend and that I wouldn’t be able to get a courtesy car either. I never got treated like this in any of the other dealers at BMW, Audi or Mercedes. Thankfully though Siobhan did replace window wipers for me free of charge. Other than that it was a really stressful experience.
