Bought a VW Golf 3 months ago. ASB sensor failed, initially presented myself to service desk at dealership, only to be told I had to book it in by ringing service. Wasn’t impressed as I was already at service department in person. Car booked in, left it at 8am went to collect it 2pm after not getting through to dealership service, receptionist tried getting through but no one picking phone up. When I turned up at 2pm was told to wait, after an hour, enquired and was told car had not been looked at yet. Further hour it was looked at, only to be told I needed to bring it back. Although under 12 months warranty and a further 2 years warranty. I was having a weird conversation, firstly although I brought my car in 8am, I was told we upto 50 cars to look at hence it got looked at around 4pm. Then a discussion to place who was paying for the repair, VW head office or the dealership. Was told dealership had to get authorisation etc. I was not happy so I spoke to the manager, who was good enough to explain what the issue was and organised a courtesy vehicle when I brought my car the 2nd time. I expect if I bring my vehicle in for repair under warranty then it should be sorted out not to be told about VW issues of who was paying for repairs. Just seems barriers come up for repair issues, yet when selling the car staff are all over you including selling extra warranty. During my ordeal dealership service never picked the phone up and I had to go into dealership twice to find out what was happening with my ca, not receiving updates. Just anxious if I have to take my car in again.

I'm unable to rate the visit as all I did was put my key in a box, leave my car for a day then return to pick car key up from box and get in my car. Didn't have any interaction with anyone. Preferred it to how it used to be, but I suppose this is called progress.

Had to take my Tiguan into VW bolton after having to call AA out as wouldn’t start due to software issue . I trued to contact the service department a number of times asking for updates which never arrived , terrible experience .

Went to renew my service contract for next two years and add extended warranty. I thought it was going to be tricky to choose options. I was advised that the All in was a very good option. Looked at the display. So easy to set up and done. Peace of mind for two more years. Sat in a couple of cars too and made welcome.

The id.3 car was booked in for an electric drive error which could only be undertaken by the specialist centre at VW Bolton due to high voltages involved. The booking process was easy and the service staff friendly and helpful. As I live more than 35 miles away, I tried contacting several times to get an update to no avail. Thankfully after four days in the workshop I was contacted to say the car was ready and all was fine, as was the handover. Looking at previous reviews it appears that lack of communication is a common complaint. Hopefully this is an area where improvements can be made.

They checked my battery and tyres and found tgg bc at they were fine. Only complaint was I asked for a free wash and clean inside, it wasn’t done!

Bought a new car one year ago. I was offered a 2 year service plan as an incentive to buy this car. I took my car for its one year service this week. No record of the service plan available. Obviously my word against theirs. I buy a new car every three years and I will go elsewhere next time. This is the third car I have bought from this garage and every time I have had some sort of problem. Avoid.

Everything went fine and well. Staff were polite ad helpful. On the day the printer was not working and hence I was not given paper copy invoices. So after a couple of days I went again to get paper copies and even then the printer was not working!! I found that poor service. So now I have to go AGAIN to get the relevant paperwork.
