Very easy to arrange a MOT and service. They called me a few days before to confirm and discuss additional options. On the day it was easy to drop my car off and I was kept informed during the day and contacted promptly at the end.

Recently purchased a Used Approved Golf R. Although Barely Used would be more accurate- the vehicle had a tiny recorded mileage and looked like it had just arrived fresh off the Wolfsburg assembly line. I previously had had the front tyres replaced on my VW Polo and unfortunately, the underlying issues with the wheel alignment were not intially identified so when I returned 4 months later and highlighted that my MOT and car service had flagged up that these new front tyres were already worn and needed replacing......I did complain. Richard, the branch manager was very professional and his team were extremely helpful, in fully resolving my complaint. Their very experienced mechanic established that the parts previously used on my car (which I had purchased second hand, on eBay 2yo) were not genuine VW spare parts but it took some time for the underlying problem to be finally identified and expertly resolved. I can confirm this VW service department worked very hard to rectify my complaint and have provided an exceptional customer experience in dealing with this. I was also given a courtesy car to use, whilst their service department continued to worked to resolve all the issues with the front wheel alignment, installing the new front tyres required with the wheel alignment issues also dealt with and the software error messages also resolved. My car now runs beautifully, I am delighted to say. You can actually sit on stools right next to the workshop at this dealership and watch the mechanics working on your car..... So I was really pleased to hear and see that this dealership have employed a female mechanic too and to be told that, she is excellent at her job too. It is important for your customers to see that you do employ several female staff (although still a much smaller proportion than male staff) but it would be good to also see more non white faces, amongst your staff, employed at every level of your organisation, given the cultural diversity of Colchester and the customers that you serve. Thank you to everyone at the branch for resolving this complaint so thoroughly and professionally too. Customer service that learns from oversights in service provision and communicates openly and honestly with customers do need to be acknowledged and thanked which I want this review to do.

What can I say so disappointed with the way I was treated yesterday lack of understanding of issues I had to ring mobility people in waiting area where every could hear my conversation which I should of been sat in room to discuss my issues then girl/woman stood stating would not accept my car back and i never had appointment so I suggested when people call to book these things in it gets properly documented, and all we was told they only hand mobility cars over otherwise its all to do with mobility shows no empathy for people with health issues, so in ending had to lose 250 Quid as couldn't give car back due to also one to get car back another day. I would never recommend this dealership.
