Edit 22 April: after returning the car on 5 March I realised that I never received a refund for the road tax I paid £195 for on 17 Jan when I bought the car. The last V5 change was also my purchase, so no paperwork had been completed when I returned the car for a refund. I contacted Darren who has now had the paperwork actioned but this just reinforces how poorly run this place is. I had a very poor experience after part exchanging my old car for a 2 year old Polo in Jan. The car broke down after 3 weeks and the diagnosis was a very serious wiring issue. As a result I rejected the car and have had a refund of the amount I paid less £500 because of the way the winter ‘offer’ of an extra £500 in part ex was applied as this offer was very misleading and underhand. Please be wary of any offers and make sure to read the small print before signing anything. I see the car is now back up for sale for a significant amount more than I paid so beware if you’re looking at a blue Polo DE23 VVK.

Very poor customer service with the staff unclear on instruction and having taken 6 months to fix a broken key, certainly not timely. I have specifically not replaced my car with another VW to avoid having to use this dealer again.

if i could rate 0 stars i would. I took my golf tsi to be serviced here, but to my surprise when i got my car back, it had an engine management light on because someone had snapped my multi harness plug to my camshaft position sensor and also snapped the cabling to my second camshaft position sensor, then when i went back down to ask them about it, and they just told me it’s not their problem!!

I completed the purchase of my car over 3 months ago, this dealership has still not refunded the balance owed to me, after multiple follow ups via email they are now choosing to not respond at all! Action will have to be taken against this horrendous dealership if my money is not returned.

The service reminder included the words ‘collect and return your vehicle’. We have used this option previously but we were told the service was no longer available. Why did your adverts include it? We have used VW Macclesfield for many years and Julie in service reception knew us and kindly organised the service for us eventually returning the car to us herself. We are very grateful to her for all her effort to arrange it for the last time. This lack of service makes it unlikely that we will use it again.
