The car was returned with an engine management light on after being serviced. I therefore had to return to the garage to fix the fault caused during the service. However the fault was rectified easily upon returning to the garage.

I had a very poor experience after part exchanging my old car for a 2 year old Polo in Jan. The car broke down after 3 weeks and the diagnosis was a very serious wiring issue. As a result I rejected the car and have had a refund of the amount I paid less £500 because of the way the winter ‘offer’ of an extra £500 in part ex was applied as this offer was very misleading and underhand. Please be wary of any offers and make sure to read the small print before signing anything. I see the car is now back up for sale for a significant amount more than I paid so beware if you’re looking at a blue 2023 plate Polo.

Excellent service from start to finish. All the ladies on the service desk were extremely helpful, including Jess, whom I dealt with on the day my car was in for repair. She was friendly, professional, and kept everything running smoothly. Thank you to the team in Macclesfield!

We arrived some 45 mins early for 11 am appt. We understood it would not take too long to carry out b/f change & aircon service, but rather than wait, we'd go into town & await a call to say the car was ready.
It seems that when a customer is buying a car, the sales folks fall over backwards with help to get you from the town to dealership.
However this does not seem to carry over to servicing!
I had the car routine service done last summer by VW Crewe, who offered to drop my wife & I off in Crewe & collect us when the car was ready.
We walked around Macc in the rain, no ready call, so found a bus to drop us off a few hundred yards from dealership approx 5:15. Being strangers to the area,& misted bus windows, we missed the stop & as it was a circular route ended up back at the terminus.so had to wait until the bus started out again.
We eventually reached the dealership to be told a call had been made to us whilst we were on the bus & did not hear due to bus noise.
The car was ready ,we paid & left for home.
We will in future be using the accommodating services of VW Crewe!

The worst ever experience in my 40 years of buying cars . After travelling nearly 100 miles each way to view a Vw Up . Arrived to find quite a poorly valeted car , still polish everywhere. Engine bay was filthy . Decided to come away and have a think . I dealt with a man called Russell and another man called Craig . After a few phone calls Russell said it would be valeted properly and we agreed a price on the Saturday immediately before Christmas . My daughter payed the £199 deposit on the Saturday . Had a phone call on Monday a few days before Christmas and was told we had 3 days to pay . I explained that we couldn't do it christmas week as we had to sort money at the Bank but they wouldn't except that and cancelled the sale . They told me that my daughters money would be refunded but it being Christmas might be not straight away . Pretty hypocritical as we had the same issue getting to sort the money at bank Christmas week. After many phone calls and Three and half weeks later and complaining to Vw Head office I had a phone call apologising about how poorly we had been treated and suddenly we get my daughters deposit back . The man asked why we didn't go through with the purchase I explained that we'd only been given three days to pay and we couldn't sort the money until the following week as it was Christmas. He again apologised and said they shouldn't of done that and its not the way they work. They said they felt obliged to get us something else but two weeks later they have not got us anything else . Would of thought a main Vw dealership could find a similar car quite easily if they wanted to , so not really expecting them to find my daughter anything So after travelling 100 miles each way ,at my expense , paying a deposit on a car, then getting the sale cancelled because they wanted the money within three days on Christmas week then having to wait three and half weeks for our deposit back I think.we have been treated appallingly by this dealership . Can honestly say worst experience of car buying ever I appreciate your apology for the way your dealership treated my daughter and myself but that doesn't compensate the expenditure of travelling 100 miles each way and the worry it caused my daughter about getting her money back . There was also a promise to supply another car even if it was at a loss . Heared nothing since and it's taken over 3 weeks to reply to my review . Not good really .

I have been without my car for 6 months . It was sent by Macclesfield VW to Exeter for repair.
I have not yet had any offer to help me return this car as I have no faith in the car at all.
Consequently I have had to pass this on to the financial ombudsman
