After purchasing the car, I tried contacting the dealership manager multiple times, but I am still waiting for a return call. Five weeks gone already. As part of the purchase deal, a boot mat was included; it was supposed to be ready for me along with the car on the day of the sale. I picked up the car, but without the mat. I agreed with the salesperson that I would buy the mat myself and send them the receipt, and they would refund money to my account. When I bought the car, the funds I transferred to the dealership appeared in their account within 10 minutes, yet I have been waiting four weeks for my refund. I should also add that, the car I bought was dirty both inside and out. Three days before arriving at the dealership, I had asked the salesperson to ensure the car was cleaned and washed on the day of the purchase. The salesperson attempted to clean the car himself on the day of the sale, but the process took him no more than 10 minutes. The result was as follows: The interior remained dirty, and the exterior had not been washed; the dirt had simply been smeared around with a dry cloth.

I took my car for a MOT under a VW service plan and was mis-informed throughout by this dealership. The left hand did not know what the right hand was doing. As a result of a warranty claim being incorrectly submitted by the dealership, I was unable to pursue a warranty claim appeal. The dealership were not interested, in fact they still haven’t replied to my last email. So I complained to VW UK Customer Services, who sent me a very nice hamper to apologise. I have wasted hours trying to sort this out and, as a result, have now cancelled the VW 24-month service plan I had. I will use my local independent garage going forward, who are much cheaper and significantly better organised.

I took my ID4 into VW Southend for a inspection and software upgrade. I got a new ID4 courtesy car for the day @ £12 for insurance. They did a full walk through video inspection of the car and it was ready same day with no issues at all. The customer service I received was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Recently purchased a car with Joe the salesman at VW. Joe helped us out a lot and focused on cars within our requirements and narrowed it down. Allowed us to view the car within 10 minutes notice and then came back a couple days later to test drive which Joe had all sorted and ready and then negotiated an agreed price. Joe was really nice guy and helped throughout the whole process and showed his knowledge great. Also was very easy to talk to and communicated well over the time it took form initial contact to purchase completed
