Carl is a very nice person and helped me a lot. He was also very friendly and polite. The Volkswagen service was excellent, both for registering the car and for the delivery process.

Poor customer service, walk away avoid this dealership. They just want sell you something and grab your money after that there is no communication, I rang them quite a few times in last 6 days and every time they come up with some excuse, I asked them to refund my deposit but it seems like they systematically ignoring me. Never again

Absolutely disgustingly rude staff. Receptionist was vile, spoken down to like someone they’ve stepped in. A salesman just pointed to us where to go, would’ve been nice to walk with us and talk through the cars and pricing options. Receptionist just assuming we wouldn’t have money by jumping straight to “what finance are do doing”. Just because we’re young doesn’t mean we don’t have good jobs. Disgusting staff, do not recommend.

Very disappointing experience when trying to buy a Volkswagen I visited Volkswagen in Stockport on 23rd August as I was seriously considering changing my car. I was given a valuation for my current car and the salesperson I spoke with advised he would email me the details of the valuation and the offers available for the two cars. The following day I received an email from the salesperson, only to find that they had sent me the wrong information which was meant for another customer and included another customer’s email address. I called the dealership to speak to the salesperson and was told that he would call me back. Despite this, I was left chasing for a response rather than receiving the follow-up I had been promised. This left me then returning to the dealership on Friday whilst on annual leave and I had to bring my daughter, I was promised again I would get a call later that day but again I received no call. The icing on the cake was today when I called again and spoke to another sales person who I explained what had happened, he assured me he would speak with the business manager and also to the sales person to call me and I’ve again received no phone call. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I was a genuine potential customer looking to purchase a new vehicle, yet the overall experience felt disorganised and unprofessional. When you are potentially spending a significant amount of money on a new car, you expect a much higher level of customer service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the experience has left me to look elsewhere rather than deal with Volkswagen Stockport. I hope the dealership takes the issues around customer information and communication seriously, because this should not happen to someone who is simply trying to buy a car.

Excellent service. Kurt was so helpful answered all questions and explained everything. This is what a motability agent should be . He kept me updated with videos and emails and texts and if I had any questions he responded quickly and nothing was too much trouble. I would give more than 5 * if I could and would recommend this dealership over any other. Kurt is amazing and would encourage other motability customers to go to group 1 volkswagen.

Unfortunately, our experience with Group 1 Stockport and Bimal was very disappointing. The whole buying process felt rushed due to the end of the month, with the finance still not being completed just 3 hours before collection, leaving us having to arrange a bank loan and insurance within that time. Small digs were also made about our part exchange regarding the damage. When we collected the car, there was damage which should have been fixed prior to collection, as the handover was clearly rushed and given one key. We then had to return to have the damage sorted, but were told it could take around three hours. My dad had work, so we couldn’t wait around for this long. The handover was also extremely rushed, with only a very brief explanation of the car and its controls, and we didn’t receive a follow-up call the next day to check everything was okay. Overall, the experience felt rushed and disappointing from start to finish. We expected much better customer service and unfortunately wouldn’t use Group 1 Stockport again.

Worst experience so far I booked for service and mot my mot is expired 17 August I booked 15 I booked and they said our ramp is not working can we do not via Halfords I agree but still 27 August my car mot is not done this is worst and service ever not good communication not professional behivour I told them I am away not in country will be back and have words with them
