Recently purchased a used Volkswagen Tiguan from this dealership. From enquiry to collection Amir was fantastic. He was very helpful and was happy to help with any queries I had. I travelled from Aberdeen to collect the car and Amir even made the effort to pick me up from the train station which was fantastic. A great guy and only too happy to recommend him to anybody looking to purchase a car from this dealership. Took lots of time to show me around the car and he made sure I was happy with everything before driving away. Amir called me the next day to make sure everything was fine on the journey home.

Picking up my new Tiguan R line was excellent from start to finish. The process was smooth, well organised, and completely stress-free.The team were friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly before handing over the keys. The car was spotless and ready to go, which made the whole movement feel extra special. I couldn’t be happier with the service and would highly recommend Jonny Moores (Head of business ) and his whole team to anyone looking for a great car buying experience.

Check in was excellent, quick and efficient. Yasmine, as always, was super. When the dealership phoned to say the car was ready to be collected, it transpired that it was not, as the brake fluid had not been changed, nor had the emergency wheel air canister been charged. The hand back was again efficient. Yasmin explained everything well. The dashcam camera had been disconnected, though, for some reason and the driver's seat lowered, which took a bit of time to restore. Given that the vehicle is electric with no spark plugs and no oil change needed, I wonder why the service was so protracted (seven hours). It can't be more than an hour's work, even with the MOT.

I have written to you more than 3 weeks ago and i am still waiting for a reply , This is shocking. Please can you reply to me just to say that you have my complaint and that your looking into it, I will also post of Trust pilot too ...................... I seen a car that i liked on VW Group 1 stockport website and i contacted them to do a all round video pointing out any damage likes of scratches dents and stone chips and a lady did a full video saying that the only thing that was needed was a valet so i put down a deposit and arranged to collect the car in 5 days time due to the car needing a service and a full VW inspection. The Car that i was buying was a Clio which apparently had been a trade in. Regarding collecting the car, I was told that i would be picked up from the train station and to contact the saleslady when i was neat to Stockport and we arranged a time for the handover. Near to arrival, I sent a message to the sales lady and she sent a message back with poor directions on how to walk to the showroom, With not knowing the area, I missed a turning and i ended up walking 3 miles before i got to the showroom, I even contacted the saleslady to say that i was lost with a reply saying , No problem, I will see you when you arrive. On arrival , I told her that i must have walked an hour, She said, The exercise will do you good, I was sweating and she didn't even offer me a cup of water. On inspection of the car , I noticed a scratch on the car, I mentioned this to the saleslady who replied, Well what do you expect from a second hand car, I told her that the car didn't have a scratch on when she took the video and long story short, They offered to get the car repaired near to my home in Cumbria but i had to pay up front first. (I have to say, Someone knew about the scratch because it had been touched up in the body shop ) The handover was , I can't tell you anything about the car because its a Clio and we only sell VWs So you will know more about the car then I. The Saleslady told me that other documents would be sent to me. The car came with a 2 year warranty and RAC Membership, I was only sent the warranty for the 2nd year and the same with the RAC Membership plus there was no service stamp in the book and no details of the VW Checks that were supposed to have happened. It took 6 weeks to get most of the documentation sorted and also the money returned for the bodywork repair, This was after many emails and phone calls and it wasn't until i wrote to Group1 Customer complaints that i got the 1st year warranty and RAC membership and every time i tried to call, They would ask my name, Try and put me though and then a reply saying that the person is busy with a customer and i will get back to you. I had asked for a proper copy of the service with a stamp, That didn't happen and also during this time i was getting a low battery fault on the dashboard but this was dealt with and they paid for a new battery to be supplied and fitted but honestly , Communication is the worst with 3 emails to customer care with no reply and even with the showroom, Once i drove away in the car, They didn't want to know. I have given Group1 chance to reply with my last message saying that i was going to post a review and i know that Group1 will reply saying to get in touch with Group 1 to sort it out.. Waste of time

I recently purchased a brand new car from Group 1 Volkswagen Stockport and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Callum was amazing — friendly, helpful, and made the whole process so smooth.
The service was great, and I was really pleased with the excellent deal I received. I felt well looked after the entire time.
Overall, a brilliant experience — I would definitely recommend this dealership!

Callum and Gareth found me the correct car for the right price in a very short space of time. Communication was brilliant, couldn’t fault the sales team. Only thing to note is I am still waiting confirmation that the dealership will be paying for my first two services but it has been month end and Easter so I’m not concerned.

Drop off ok although parking on car park was a nightmare no spaces available to park.
Pick up had to wait for receptionist even though 4 desks were available but no one manning them and no one came although lots of people passed by. If I was buying someone would have been there like a shot.
MOT and video of technicians findings was good.

Took car in to get checked out. Took 4 days before finally getting feedback for the issue. They weren't able to replicate the issue and just shrugged shoulders. Also throwing in excuse how they don't usually get that type of car. To rub salt in the wood. They performed a software update, that had no relation to the actual issue of the car. And now my second key no longer works. Thank you group 1 for the inconvenience. I will gladly avoid you at all costs going forward
