After around 10 years as a VW customer, the service I’ve received from Volkswagen Bromley has left me feeling completely let down. I was going to leave a review after my last experience but never bothered. Today’s phone call has made me regret letting it go. While getting my tyres changed today, I discovered that I had never been supplied with the locking wheel nut key. When I called the dealership, I was told I should have raised this within the first month and that I would now need to come in and buy the part myself. Yes, it’s been just under a year since I bought the car, but this was when I discovered it was missing. How many customers need to remove their wheels within the first month? I trusted the dealership to supply the car with everything it was supposed to come with. Apparently, the responsibility is on the customer to spot anything missing before they actually need it. This follows the car being supplied without a parcel shelf/boot cover. When I raised that, the way it was handled made me feel as though I wasn’t believed. I also emailed shortly after purchasing the car about other concerns but just no help. Having to chase missing items and then being told to pay for another one myself is incredibly frustrating. After years of loyalty, I expected some understanding and a willingness to help. Instead, I’ve been left feeling dismissed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Volkswagen Bromley. The aftercare has seriously damaged my trust in the dealership.

We recently bought our new VW car from Group 1 Volkswagen Bromley, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Our salesman, Canaan Archey, was fantastic. He was incredibly nice, patient, and truly went above and beyond to serve us as best as he could. Highly recommend asking for Canaan if you are visiting this dealership!

Very disappointed with the standard of diagnosis and repair work carried out by Group 1 VW on my VW Passat GTE. The vehicle had a recurring history of coolant warning light issues and had previously been returned, several times, for investigation and repair, to Group 1, Bromley and Sevenoaks. Work was carried out on the coolant system and the vehicle was returned on the basis that the problem had been resolved. Unfortunately, it hadn't. After the coolant problem returned following a longer journey, further investigation included a combustion gas test. This identified combustion gases entering the cooling system and a suspected pinhole leak in the head gasket. Given the previous history of unexplained coolant loss, my biggest concern is why this was not properly investigated or ruled out during the earlier repair. A combustion gas test ultimately identified the problem, so why wasn't this done when the vehicle repeatedly presented with coolant issues? The work completed on the coolant problem, prior to the true issue being identified, was guaranteed under a 12 month warranty, but this only covered the replacement reservoir bottle and lid. Management - Ben Jones - was more interested in reputational damage to the firm, than offering a repair. Fortunately VW finance have recognised the issue and returned my purchase in full. Group 1 VW - avoid like the plague
