My business company car was called in for a recall here. We had an appointment booked back a few months ago earlier in 2026, but the day before the appointment we were called and told they can’t guarantee us a courtesy car as the recall would take longer than expected. The customer service rep advised to rebook the recall for the end of August for an appointment with a courtesy car free of charge for the duration of the recall. This was several months after the original appointment, leaving the car unfixed for this duration. The Day before the appointment I completed the online check-in which had confirmation of the courtesy car. However when I went to drop the car off I was told that the recall would take longer than expected, to which I replied that is fine as the courtesy car is on the booking, the service rep looked at me and said they had no record of having a booking with a courtesy car and they had none available even if they did have a record. Obviously this was frustrating, I asked how the issue would be sorted out, bearing in mind of the rebooking, multiple month wait and written confirmation, to which all I got was a blank expression and being told they had no record of the car being booked. I said to the rep "I'll take my car to another dealership" the service rep sitting next to the one I was talking to, piped up and said "go do that then". In all honesty Group 1 in Bromley have done me a favour by failing at the first opportunity for after sales care, I actually was planning to wait around after dropping the car off to put a deposit down on two more vehicles, to add to my company car fleet, and to discuss upgrading the current ID4 to a new reg ID4. But I've taken the advice of the Service department rep and I've gone and taken this business elsewhere to a dealership that clearly wants to have an ongoing relationship beyond selling just 1 car. To discuss my displeasure about the customer service treatment I experienced, I have called about 5 times, once reception transfers me nobody answers. I have called and sent various emails. Including to the ‘tellusmore’ email address they recommend in these reviews. I’ve heard nothing back. So clearly they just put an email so it seems like they are helpful and then ignore you. I have since told a neighbour about this an she said she had the same experience when she bought a car there. I have also told other friends about this, and one of which is a fellow small business owner thinking of purchasing a fleet of company cars through them! They have gone elsewhere now, where the communication is so poor. Clearly customer service is below par here and the distain from the after sales department to their customers is pretty obvious. If you have a small business having a car from here has proven to be more of a headache than its worth.

I had a fantastic experience with Group 1, and I’d especially like to thank Canaan, the salesman I had been dealing with throughout the process. Canaan was extremely helpful, professional and approachable from start to finish. He took the time to listen to what I was looking for, answered all my questions and kept everything straightforward and stress-free. I never felt pressured, and his communication and customer service were excellent. I was sold an Auto Protect for dents and scratches to use at the end of my PCP contract for over £500, went to use it at the end of my contract and the workshop didn’t pickup to book, for almost a month I had no idea about the app being used to book, was not communicated to me and I just wasted over £500. DO NOT TAKE OUT AUTO PROTECT

The Team were fantastic, from the reception through to sales. Wayne was extremely helpful, professional throughout without an ounce of pressure with his knowledge able to assist us in making a decision. Roberta was equally supportive and helpful and both deserve applause for their efforts. I can’t recommend highly enough.
