We brought our SLK in to Mercedes Oxford in January for a service, and investigation into an intermittent ABS/EPS fault. The dealer failed to find the fault, telling us that the system simply needed resetting. The fault recurred almost immediately.
We then took the car in on 8th June with a complaint that the diagnostics had not been adequately conducted in January. It took 48 hours for the team to even look at the car, and a further 3 days to complete the work that was apparently needed. We added an MOT, as by this point the MOT was due, but when we were informed the car was ready for collection, the MOT had still not been done, so we had to wait another day to collect the car.
After spending £1,200 on the required work, the fault recurred AGAIN within a few hundred yards of leaving the forecourt, despite having passed an MOT, and so we are back for a third time.
This is truly dreadful service, we are really unimpressed.

Avoid this garage if you value clear communication and reliable service. Very disappointed with the experience . I was told that emails, text messages, and reports had been sent to me, but I never received them. When I asked for evidence, I was only provided with a screenshot showing a video uploaded to their internal system, which did not prove that any communication had been sent to me.and when I requested real evidence my email was ignored and communication stopped. Overall, a very frustrating experience and not the level of customer service I would expect.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Serious Concerns About Service Quality and Complaint Handling I am leaving this review after giving Mercedes-Benz Oxford every opportunity to investigate and resolve my concerns privately. Unfortunately, they chose not to. Following a major service on my Mercedes CLA, I experienced multiple issues almost immediately afterwards, including a coolant leak requiring replacement of the thermostat housing and a separate fault involving a loose sensor. These issues did not exist before the vehicle was serviced. My concern was never simply the repair cost. My concern was understanding why these faults appeared directly after a major service and whether the work had been carried out correctly. Despite repeatedly asking for a proper investigation, audit of the service work, and a clear explanation, none was provided. What has been most disappointing is the way the dealership handled the complaint. Communication was poor, responses were dismissive, and genuine concerns were repeatedly ignored. When I escalated the matter to the General Manager, my complaint was simply referred back to the same department that had already failed to address the issues. No independent review, no investigation findings, and no meaningful response to the questions raised. As a result, I completely lost confidence in Mercedes-Benz Oxford’s ability to investigate its own work fairly. I therefore removed my vehicle from the dealership and arranged for the repairs to be completed elsewhere. Due to parts availability, I was forced to purchase genuine Mercedes-Benz parts through the dealership, but I no longer trusted them to carry out the repairs. The vehicle has now been repaired, but the central question remains unanswered: Why did multiple faults appear immediately after a major service, and why was no proper investigation carried out? For comparison, I contacted Mercedes-Benz Milton Keynes and received the level of professionalism, courtesy, and customer care that I would expect from a premium brand. The difference was remarkable. What concerns me most is that the failures in this case were not limited to the workshop. The handling of the complaint was poor at every level, including senior management. Instead of taking ownership and investigating the matter thoroughly, the dealership appeared more interested in closing the complaint than resolving it. I have now escalated my concerns beyond the dealership and submitted formal complaints to Mercedes-Benz customer relations. I am also exploring referral of this matter to relevant automotive customer service, quality assurance, and consumer protection bodies for review of both the service provided and the complaint handling process. Mercedes-Benz is a world-class brand. Unfortunately, my experience with Mercedes-Benz Oxford did not reflect the standards, professionalism, accountability, or customer care that such a brand should represent. Based on my experience, I will never use Mercedes-Benz Oxford again and would strongly advise prospective customers to carefully read both positive and negative reviews before making a decision. Customers deserve transparency, accountability, and proper investigation when things go wrong. In my case, I received none of those. Would I use Mercedes-Benz Oxford again? Absolutely not.
