I was disappointed you can’t explore the functionality of the cars in the showroom, so I didn’t find answers to any of my questions and it represented only a minor step up from online research. I also found they lost interest when learning I am looking to lease the car via my workplace EV scheme. BMW were a lot more welcoming so I’m getting an i4, your loss.

I must warn anyone thinking of buying a car from this garage to think twice. When 1st collecting my vehicle around 2.5 years ago the salesman made me aware of a small dent under the passenger wheel arch, he said that they would fix it if I were to bring it back which I thought was fair enough. He then mentioned that another member of staff had told him not to say anything to us but said that he was leaving anyway so it didn't matter, (or something along those lines I cant remember exactly) after this, the person who had allegedly made these comments had the cheek to come up to me, shake my hand and say thankyou for your business! I decided to let it go as I respected the sales rep for his honesty but looking back now I really wish I had said something. Over the next few weeks I sent numerous emails & made endless phone calls to try and arrange for the car to come back in to be repaired. I was constantly told that someone would call me back, they never did, it wasn't until 12 months later when I went and left a 1 star review on google one of the managers called me immediately begging me to remove it & it finally got fixed. 2 years on - paint has started to come off the bonnet & roof they tried to blame it on stone chippings but its obvious the paint has not been applied properly. I took it to the branch where they tested it with some tape which was put on to the bonnet the aftersales manager told me that the paint should not come off when the tape was pulled off, which it did proving that it hasn't been applied properly. After waiting another week I have now been informed that they wont be carrying out any repairs under warranty as and 'external influence is the most likely cause & it is down to me to pay for it to be resprayed. They have done nothing but give me pathetic excuses & have refused to take any kind of responsibility, I will be getting it fixed somewhere else & looking into how I can try to claim the money back from them + compensation & loss of earnings. Id like to add these replies to negative reviews are a joke its like they haven't evan read the message and just copied and pasted, how are you going to make sure if doesn't happen again? How about putting this right first

Lost a valuable customer, been with Mercedes for years now. Every 4-5years I upgrade to new model with minimum 4 year service plan & MOT. You can thank your young manager that you have now lost me as client. Awful experience since the change from ichcape, was looking to upgrade to a GLE from my GLB real price knock on my Mercedes due to a warning sign. Funny enough didn’t come up on service or MOT but when willing to sell you try knock me 2-3grand. Just had new local garage look at car and had all positive feedback and with warning sign gone, good price to sell. Never will I go back to your dealership and never will I let someone I know go to you. Will be reaching out to your service department. You also damaged my car on recall year before. Shocking! Management. Shocking experience! Regards,

My old C class had been troublesome for months and a large history of work carried out, replaced EGR valves, warning lights etc. I've had some bad experiences with other Mercedes service centres in the past (as has my family) but I took advantage of their free diagnostic offer. This makes the story sound simple but overall I was losing faith in Mercedes on all levels. One new genuine MB EGR valve later, a reasonable bill and all was well! I'm slowly regaining trust in my 150,000 mile Merc. Mark at Group 1 was brilliant. He listened to my tale if woe patiently and the whole process was as painless as it could be. A huge plus was that when valeting the car someone found my spare genuine mercedes key that I'd 'man lost' 18 months ago! I don't bother with reviews very often but my experience here made me want to say thank you to Mark, Darren and the team here.
