The top speed is limited to 155mph, and emphatic braking performance is assured through strong energy recovery and AMG Performance Ceramic brakes. AMG Ride Control adaptive air suspension can set the car up for comfortable cruising, or allow the EQE 53 to remain fabulously composed during high-speed cornering. Agility is assured by rear-axle steering that reduces the turning circle at low speeds, but increases stability at high speeds.

The cabin features nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a head-up display, multicolour ambient lighting, smartphone integration, navigation with electric intelligence, and the MBUX HYPERSCREEN infotainment system. Three digital displays are housed under one sheet of glass, with the drivers' instrument cluster, main infotainment display, and passenger display all customisable and configurable.

Between the axles is a 90.5kWh usable capacity battery, offering up to 306 miles* of WLTP range. Using a DC rapid charger as found here at GRIDSERVE's Braintree Electric Forecourt, the EQE 53 can complete a 10-80% top-up in 30 minutes, with a peak input of 170kW. The car is capable of 22kW AC charging, with 10-100% taking 4 hours and 45 minutes. Using a home wallbox, 10-100% charging requires 14 hours and 30 minutes.
